My friend I live in US and have owned jeep and now LC. What people don’t understand these are both different type of vehicles. Jeep only has the advantage of being significant lighter than LC. Take a Jeep on long trip which have light duty off roading you will get the answer. Take the Jeep with 8 passengers on a sand dune you will see its capabilities.

@@pookiemonkey1474 its not the sand, its the heat ,temps in the ME hover around 45-50 C fom May to mid September and 55+ for a 2 weeks from july and early august then comes the rain and sand floods plus the year long sand storms . No car can withstand that except Toyota . you can literally go to kuwait and see only Toyotas driving in the really hot days and sandstorms the reliability of Toyota is not a myth .

Having had both similarly equipped, the 200 is a bit better in most situations than the 100. Really comes down to the lack of front end travel on the 100 vs. the 200. Neither can hang with an 80 for the same reason.

ATRAC/CRAWL is absolutely not the same as lockers. Try it in snow, sand or mud. It’s beyond helpless. And 200’s are heavy as hell. Departure angle isn’t great. Rear axle has good articulation but IFS in the front is a major failure in terms of articulation (why do you think 80 series are so desirable?). I wheeled the Rubicon trail 2 years ago with some friends with Land Cruisers, one of them was a very built 200. It struggled. Got any more great insight? 😂
