Viaplay is terrible. Before in the Netherlands the rights were owned by Ziggo (subsidiary of Vodafone) and you got it as part of a sports package. Viaplay bought the rights and forces people to buy their entire streaming service. Many have moved to F1 TV now and many others will follow.

@@daarom3472 it used to be Eleven Sports showing F1 on TV in Poland but lately we've been seeing an aggressive campaign by viaplay as well. Thing is though, they're stuck in Bernie era of huge television contracts that passed almost 15 years ago. F1TV is lightyears ahead, there's no going back and you really have to be thick to not understand the success of streaming

A better question would have been: do you think you had enough in the bag to keep Alonso behind in case he attempted an overtake? Question was legit but the way he phrased it was poor. Anyway, drivers are highly paid professionals, they know how to deal with this stuff, it's just another part of their job.

@@VirtualRacingF1 It is called being a team. When there is not many laps to the end of the race it is advised for the drivers to not fight for the spot and risk a potential crash. If you cannot even understand that simple concept maybe you shouldn’t watch F1

Did he? Maybe the way the question was asked was weird but it was a legit question. Why not swap them. Alonso has a chance for 2nd or 3rd in the championship

Sassy Lance Strikes Again 🤣 the HUH gets me everytime 🤣🤣

VIaplay has absolutely NO fucking place in Formula 1. I don't know about other counties, but at least in The Netherlands they have been sucking ALL joy out of the sport and the insane amount of entitlement and 'poshness' coming from them is evident. I switched over to the F1TV commentary after giving at maybe 10 minutes before I couldn't even stand the commentator and his lack of energy and precision. Olav Mol and Ziggo have had some big flaws, but at least they are full of energy, passion and excitement. Especially at the ending, what was that?? She says "Ah, the little beam of sunray he is, as always". What would you expect after such an unbelievable shit question? This wasn't even a "intense moment". This was just Lance Stroll being "uhm.... okay?" for a full minute and rightfully so. The cringe is off the charts, but not due to Lance.

Like always reporters trying to create tension within the team, Alonso just answered it was fine, good for the team 6 and 7, he did not want to crash again the floor of the car or making Stroll crash defending.

I love how us fans will always have our own opinions about drivers, but when those drivers face that scourge of media questioning, you can always count on us to band together against it.

Wow.... Lance is wise to face the media... Answering such crooked and unwanted, unreasonable questions with such ease..... Wow that kid is great.., simple... He stuck on to it by answering about the race events and then again handled the stupid reporter with ease.... Class....... I wish him to become a class rider :)

I am from Holland and this is a Dutch interviewer. The interviewer does this a lot and it's quite annoying. There have been plenty of times where he asks weird/stupid out of line questions and he's already making a name for himself out in the paddock. I don't think he will last beyond this year honestly.

I mean lets be real, he stayedin front because daddy owns the team. Was the same with Vettel. Any other team that dude would have been kicked a 100 times, especially now that AM actually has pace in the car. He really needs to stop blocking that F1 spot, its clear he doesnt even have any motivation to race in F1.

I think Lance's point is that it was Alonso's choice not to fight or ask for the position because of his Championship position. So why not ask him? There was no real point to asking that question to Lance.

This is typical dutch interviewing. I like how straight forward we are, but it's a balance act, unfortunately our media in sport is also negative and pessimistic often. If a dutch athlete fails, they have to feel guilty to the entire nation, no kidding. Instead of support, journalists will chop your head off. It would be nice if dutch reporters learn to have at least some respect, this is embarassing.

This is shit for Dutch standards too. The interviewer's only goal was getting a reaction out of Lance. The Dutch may be more direct, but that's not the same as being rude, even though a lot of people (inlcuding the Dutch) seem to think that it is.

In Canada we call this a furious Canadian

So a guy comes 6th in the grand prix and people still say hes not good enough for an F1 seat. Not being the best does not mean he's not good enough. Because of him and his father we have a team that has put some excitement back into the sport. Without Lance there would be no AM F1.

She definitely seemed annoyed by the Reporter's questions.

I have to say, I'm really disappointed how team spirited Alonso has been this year! 😂

The team got the same points no matter which way they finished the race. There was absolutely no way with What, 8 laps? That Alonso could catch the next car. He’d have to be 2s per lap faster, and have to fight his team mate for position, which could jeopardise his tyres, or even result in one or both going out the race. What would have been more interesting is for Alonso to get drs, swap positions, then Lance get drs swap positions, and get an Aston Martin drs party on the go to try to get fastest lap
