Also interesting, Alberto Contador had a brush with death that required surgery, leaving him with a scar across his skull from ear to ear. AFTER that, he just exploded on the scene! And we know the rest!

The secret race. Cycling isn’t all that different from formula 1. Just trade doping and strat for aero tricks and fuel/fluid innovation. Everyone is cheating. This is about going from petty crook to supervillain without raising alarms . Before doping you had Aucouturier biting his cork 8 years before the first Indy 500 a dozen decades ago. To post WW2 Robic and his genius heavy metal descending tactic. If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying. Lance’s problem was he was a real POS with how he handled it. But can’t expect less from a man of Texas. I can confirm as a Texan.

No one else received his stripped medals because they were *all* doping back then. So, the playing field was even after all and his medals should be returned to him. Just my opinion.

Lets not forget about his teammate Hamilton who helped him get there by tucking him in for majority of the races to help draft and save energy. The whole pelaton was doping in those days. So nobody was getting a advantage lance just had the best doctors and strategy and the urge to win. Hell always be a survivor and champion in my eyes. If anyone really wants to k ow the full true story. Read the book called "The secret race" amazing book showing the nitty gritty dark underworld of the cycling doping community and what lengths they will go to win and get that extra bit of edge

Everyone riding for wins during that time was doped. Everyone. And it's highly unlikely the sport is really clean today. So if you say shit about LA, you might just stop following pro cycling entirely. Plus, doping alone does not win races. He worked like a maniac to get those titles. 99% of you keyboard warriors would die from a fraction of the effort he put into his preparation.
