My grandparents were together 70 years. Grandfather passed a couple weeks ago...I think of them every time I hear this song. Their anniversary was in July as well....my grandmother has refused any type of memorial or funeral for him. She insists he's not gone. Breaks my heart. This song is all of that and more 😢

I don't know if Lana Del Rey was as popular 10 years ago when she released this song, as she is now. I've never heard, or cared to listen to any of her songs before but I read a book that was inspired by this song. It's just about the most beautiful book I have ever read and after finishing it for the 3rd time in 3 years, I finally got influenced to listen to this as I just couldn't ignore the author's repeated praises of the song. And I don't know why but it got more and more beautiful towards the end. I'll revisit this song again for sure and might finally start listening to her other songs and this was a good start to that :)
