Bartender is quite a weird track, however I read something that totally changed my mind. The "t-t-t" mimics the flashes of the cameras, since the song is about her hiding from fame/paparazzi. I don't know if she did it on purpose, but if she did, she's a genius

Fun fact: For the upcoming Sublime documentary, Bradley's wife specifically requested Lana do the "Doin' Time" cover. Lana initially didn't want to, because that song is already one of her favorite songs that is actually on her playlist, but she did it anyway (of course) and made sure not to change it up too much because it's already amazing. And goddamn did she dominate that song.

I love the little throwbacks this album has to previous Lana songs. She does the countdown from Summertime Sadness, she mentions fast cars and her boyfriend being cool, and she uses the phrase "liquor off the top shelf," just to name a few. I also love that in Bartender she says "Baby, remember, I'm not drinking wine. But that cherry coke you serve is fine", because of course, she's a recovering alcoholic.

So glad that you finally got to listen to this album. I’ve been following your Lana journey from the beginning (it’s what made me subscribe). And I’ve enjoyed all of your Lana Album reactions. I think Honeymoon is the first album to see substantial growth in Lana’s vocals. I do agree that NFR has better more precise clear vocals, but the harmonies and vocal acrobatics done in Honeymoon are lush and beautiful even if some of them are more atmospheric which I think is harder to do as a vocal artist. Also, I watched your Beyoncé’s best live vocals video yesterday and was wondering if you’ve heard any or all of her albums? I think you would enjoy them if not, and some of the deep cuts on her projects are better than the mainstream singles. Her first one Dangerously In Love is an R&B Classic! Looking forward to more album reactions on this channel!

Steven Walker the way she pronounces bartender it’s mimicking the pspspsps sounds like she’s calling him, maybe that’s why it sounds weird but once you get it it’s genius!

I like to think of Lana’s voice as another instrument in the song so probably that’s why my favourite albums are Honeymoon and NFR. So cinematic and catharsic. Her voice melts into the melody so well that it feels like they’re one. Lana’s music always feels so familiar to me whether I’m listening to the songs that I’ve known for years or the new releases and somehow it’s soothing. I feel at home when I listen to her and her music feels so personal to me like it was made just for me. Maybe it’s because she’s now such a big part of my life (I started listening to her music when I was 15 and I’m 22 now) or maybe her art just has this overall feeling of comfort. Does it make sence? I don’t know. It does to me. I just love her so so much and wish this woman everything that’s best in this world.

I think I hadn't cried while listening to a song (yet a NEW song) in like 3 years since my grandmother died... And then I heard this absolutely beautiful album and I got to "happiness is a butterfly" And no disrespect, I knew Lana was talented and she wrote some beautiful songs in the past, but I always felt like she was just swimming in an artistic pool filled with cliches until NFR! came. She's never sounded more well-rounded and captivating than this, and to say that about an artist with such a consistent catalog is saying MUCH.
