Arguably her best song, definitely in the top 3. Vocals, lyrics and production all firing. So well composed and performed. May God rest the soul of Lou Reed, who died shortly before this song was created, and was prominent on the mind of Lana as she wrote it.

Lana deserves a lot! She's such a great artist, since lyrics composition till the production of a music video. Her musics bring me back to 70's, even though I didn't born that time

This past January I visited a man I was dating in Queens. I knew it would be the last time that I saw him. One night during the trip, we rode our bikes from Manhattan into Brooklyn, via the Brooklyn Bridge. Once we made it onto the Brooklyn side, we stopped, danced for a while, then I asked him to play this song. He held me in his arms like a baby while I sang this song to him, word for word, and we watched the city lights. After, we took the subway back to his apartment in Flushing. It was the last time I saw him but, almost 9 months later, I still hope fate is such that our paths cross again someday.

Yep. Some of my favorites I didn't like the first time I heard them. West Coast and Burning Desire are great and some of her best but I disliked both at first

sad because honeymoon and ultraviolence go with each other quite nicely. Born to die and Paradise are obviously paired for the type of music in them. They're more "upbeat." At least that's how I see it, and my favorite album is ultraviolence.
