Many of these scenes right here convinced me of Yibo's acting talents. He doesn't say anything, he doesn't do anything, but his whole being - and especially his eyes - convey how much he loves Wei Ying. His eyes truly ooze love. Very impressive!

Yibo is a cold calculating person. He did not need to act. He is naturally, what he showed in this series. He has no backbone. He is not an actor. He just plays himself, while Xiao Zhan is not a character, as he has been in THE UNTAMED. He is not cheerful, outgoing rather righteous, serious. I can’t stand Yibo. His actions after the success of UNTAMED were disgusting. Period.

@@judykraska400 I disagree profoundly with you. Xiao Zhan is the best actor I have ever seen in my life with his expressive face - he really became the character in this drama. So did Yibo and it takes a very good actor to express a character with so few lines, just tiny changes in his eyes and body language and he carried it off perfectly. Xiao Zhan is a serious person, I agree with that, but he has a very pleasant personality and by all accounts he creates a warm atmosphere among cast and crew whereever he works. He could have entered the entertainment world with his beautiful singing voice, much earlier than he did, but chose instead to finish university and work for some years as a graphic designer and photographer, rather than waste the education his parents gave him. That shows strength of character. When he went through the year of trouble, he did so quietly and gradually won through to reclaim his place in the entertainment world. If you are upset that Yibo did not publicly speak out during that time on Zhan's behalf, I think the obvious reason is that Zhan begged him not to do so as it would harm both their future careers. I believe the only person Yibo would listen to and obey in that situation is Zhan and he was right to do so. It was far more difficult for him to refrain than it would have been to speak out. Meanwhile Yibo has been working extremely hard in both his dancing and acting. He has come out of his introvert shell and become an excellent teacher. He has matured greatly since he was only 20 when The Untamed was begun. Yibo does not strike me as either cold or calculating. Having watched several of the street dance series, he comes across as logical, honest and very very talented. I think both these young men are very patriotic - either of them could have a rewarding career abroad but they choose to stay in China it seems. I think both of them have shown maturity and strength of character in their own ways and I hope they both have great success because they work hard to achieve that and to show good example to the rest of us.

@Judy Kraska Wow - if yibo is like lan zhan....😍. What he did in the untame - it's acting....and good acting. Acting without a script....without words and just your own interpretation of what the character should be like..the emotions they are supposed to have.... if y'all don't call that acting then 🙄. I dont think lan zhan is the natural yibo - I think the natural yibo is the yibo in ddu. So - don't hate....just go somewhere else 😁 you'll be much happier.

Sometimes there is no need to say the word "I love you", because some relationships are beyond that word, some feelings can't be contained or expressed in words. And this series is the best example for that. Both of them express their feelings so well, the way the look at each other, the way they care and worry for each other tells everything. They are in sync with each other, they know what other is trying to say, It's just perfect. Both the actors are so talented and expressive, they just give life to the characters. Love the series, don't know how many times I have watched the series, will watch more, because no one can help but keep watching this beautiful series❤❤❤❤

After watching the 50 episodes i had just one word : WAAOOWW !!!! A masterpiece ! EXCELLENCE in all aspects ! The casting, the places, the landscapes the houses, the story, the magical powers, the incredible music going deep into the emotions, and the absolutly wonderful Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo both in their irreal beauty and extraordinary portraying of their character. ALL the actors were excellent. It was just WAAOOWW ! IMPACTING !

they said that it's brotherhood story so it can pass the censor chuchu issue but xiao zhan and yibo gave justice to the original plot by just staring,smiling or in whatever scene they're in together.when lan zhan glance at wei ying, everytime wei ying smile at lan zhan or sometimes the flirty-naughty gestures of wei ying..both of them did a great a job that even without kiss or more just with those i am much satisfied..

Wei Ying's look at Lan Zhan changed when he returned from the Burial Mounds (9:59) as if he had realized his feelings during those three months! You can see in his eyes the sadness of knowing that now they won't be on good terms, but also the love that he realized too late (which I imagine Wei Ying is thinking). I think that's why he tried to keep a distance with Lan Zhan because he knew that even though these feelings were mutual, everything was against them ... The proof during the hunt in Phoenix Mountain when Wei Ying told Lan Zhan that he thought at one point that he was his soulmate and Lan Zhan replied that he still was, Wei Ying is looking at his flute because he knows that even though they were now because of their different opinions it was not possible. And I think that at that time, Lan Zhan was not ready either to drop the convictions of his sect that he had to study throughout his life even if he was constantly in doubt ...

Nahhhhhhh I thought I had had everything that could mentally break me about this drama, but I never thought about it like this 😭😭😭😭. In my mind he just looked like that because he was sending him away because it was a "family matter", but Lan Zhan felt as family to him, so it hurt him in that way. But fam this 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Also the fact that he named his flute "Old Flame", which he did while being in Burial Mounds (or was it with Yanli when he came back?), meaning he did think of him during that time. Him looking at the flute while LZ telling WWX he's still his soulmate jdhdjfjdn omg bro

OOAK. Their relationship is unique. All that they have done in real life and then to "act" their parts in such a powerful myth cements them into places no one can ever break. Regardless of the future, the Untamed is life changing for all of us, but especially for them. I can't imagine how incredible it must have been to participate in so many life and death events in one series. May Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo always be blessed.

One of the great love stories of Chinese dramas. I love love love The Untamed!💕

Although it's just fantasy, I love their story. Xiao Zhan and Wang Ybo, formed an iconic couple, wonderful, impeccable acting, that for a few moments, we think of his brother's words "There are no rules, neither right nor wrong, only love matters."

Yes he is megastar Xiao Zhen, he rocked in the Milan fashion week just two days ago, check it out pls 🎉. And Yi Bo recently his latest movie “Hidden Blade “ just released in America and will be in NZ & Australia early March. They are both reaching higher and higher .

After watching these, I realized Wei Ying look up to Lhan Zhan as an older, person who would restrain him from his childish impulses, in a calm, silent but grim manner. An because Lhan Zhan saw Wei Ying like his mother who practiced black magic for good, keeps sticking to Wei Ying, also because of his naughtiness and funny attitude. For sticking around, they drew themselves to esch other. This all make sense. Pure Love can sprout, something beyond worldly lust and self-satisfaction.

0:01 hear me out. I'm still not ever this entrance of Lan Zhan. That was the entrance of the century!

His new movie just released globally recently “ Hidden Blade “

I'm rewatching the series (again) and it's new every time. All the actors are talented, but i have to say that there is an extra something that sets out the performances of Yibo as Lan Zhan and Xiao Zhan from the rest. They melt into the characters so completely a feat that is not easy for any actor, and is especially noteworthy given how early The Untamed was in both men's careers.

The last episode of this drama at the end when he playing the flute is it really Lan Zahn that called his name or he thought he heard him .... I'd like to believe he came back to his Wei Ying ❤❤❤...i watched this drama so many times and still feel like it's not enough .... honestly can't move on to watch other dramas just yet ....i thought i watched the best of Cdramas....The Untamed is now my all time favourite and my number 1 go to ...

Just saw Hidden Blade in Portland. Incredible acting by Yibo, and I am always amazed how talented he is. He is the only one I can see in this part because he did so much aerial stuff and needed to look so composed while doing that. His dance background served him well. Xiao Zhan is my only choice for WWX. What perfection of these 2 men!!

The melody of this song truely makes me so emotional and overwhelmed. I just can't get over from the novel Mo dao Zu shi and The Untamed series 💖 and the more I listen to the song (WuJi) the more my mind potraits that how much Lan WanJi had love for Wei WuXian and how much he adored him...his eyes said it all 😭😭 Oh my I just can't...they are too good to be true...WangXian forever and I'll always fantasize them even though I have completed the novel and the drama...💖

Yibos stoic silent demeanor Spoke Volumes ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ When he first made his entrance it was like watching an Angel Gliding ❤️❤️❤️ I Love The Untamed and I'll never forget it ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan ❤️ I can't stop watching this Masterpiece. I Love the way the camera pans down to their hands to let you know just how angry they are. They rarely express anger but you can sense it and feel it. I too fell in love with Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan ❤️

Wang Yibo was quite young at the time he was casted in this drama (19 years old). Just think about it - He was sent to Korea for music and dance training at the age of 13. He was not able to see his parents for a few years until he was 17 and became a member of a boyband group. He spent these young age living with a few male youngsters who loved him like a brother. He did his best to contribute to the boyband group. None of these youngsters had any bad feeling to hurt other group members. They were doing their best to support each other, in order to have a successful music career. They did their best. All these growing year, Yibo did not have any close relative adult there to guide him and teach him how to survive in a competitive world (such as using evil method to hurt others for his own gain). I believe that Yibo was actually quite naive. During their debute performance in Beijing, he then realized his parents were there. He was so happy that he cried in front of the audience. Through his hard work, he is at where he is now. He acted in many shows and drama. He sang quite a number of songs, and he was in the Street Dance, China for a few seasons. All those were hard work. His success is not given to him freely. He earns it. I hope that people like Judy Kraska could think rationally and not to say unkind things to hurt Yibo, a hard working and honest young man.

It's canonically a love story. There's no "brotherhood" in this. You can search for the original source and other adaptations as well. They're all back-up WangXian as it is: a romance couple.

Дораму "Неукротимый" можно смотреть бесконечно, и каждый раз замечаешь новые детали, которые ранее ускользали. Эта дорома просто завораживает. Оторваться от неё невозможно.

The Untamed - what a great show! Love it specially having Sean Xiao and Yibo Wang ❤ absolutely a good match and that really won my heart - love it!

At first, without much expectations to start the drama, sooner it make me like their relationship, brotherhood soulmates. Then I read the novel, omg 😳 they are lover? I rewatch again, even they are brotherhood or lover, it still beautiful. All you need is 1 good friend.

After many years I still can't move on ❤❤

There is so much more symbolism and tiny little moments in The Untamed than many people realize. A few examples: Episode 1 - when Wei Wuxian is playing the Wangxian theme song on his flute, trying to get Wen Ning to calm down, he's not playing it well. It's flat. But when Wei backs up and bumps into Lan Zhan and they see each other for the first time in 16 years and have that long moment gazing into each other's eyes, Wei turns to play the song again. Notice how the notes are in tune and much sweeter that second time. Lan Zhan's headband - he states it's only to be touched by the wearer's parents or significant others. Throughout the series, there are instances where Wei Wuxian completely ignores this and tries to touch or even grabs the headband. At first, Lan Zhan reacts quite strongly when he does this, but after a while, Lan Zhan relaxes about the headband. Episode 6 - in the Cold Cave scene, when Lan Zhan wraps his headband around Wei Wuxian's wrist and his own, to protect him from the zither. This act is symbolic of handfasting, which many cultures use when a couple gets married. The rabbits - look up the rabbit god "Tu Shen" (aka Tu'er Shen) Episode 7 - Wei Wuxian paints a rabbit on a lantern for Lan Zhan (see symbolism of rabbits, above) Episode 7 - also, as couples around them release their lanterns into the sky, Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian light and release the rabbit lantern together Episode 36 - When Lan Zhan was drunk and gave the two roosters to Wei Wuxian (the tradition is for a man to give 2 chickens to his prospective bride, but in this scene it was two male birds, roosters, instead) Episode 44 - The "lucky money" scene, when Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian give lucky money to little MianMian. Usually couples do that.

@@yvonnel8219 There are even more examples (such as Episode 5 - when Wei Wuxian shows both his sweet and naughty personality in the library. He draws a beautiful portrait of Lan Zhan, but he also places an erotic book on the table when Lan Zhan isn't looking, which contains an image of two male lovers). The viewer is left wondering how Wei had or found the book in the first place, and why Wei kept saying what a waste it was when Lan Zhan tore it up and threw the pieces into the air. Wei was holding pieces of the erotic image when he said that.

Thank you for clarifying such symbolism. I've read that the author loved mythology. She really did write a powerful myth. I have watched it so many times that it is beginning to unfold in current universal patterns. Life follows art. This story helps me to understand the chaos we are experiencing on this planet. This particular video is so inspiring in its creativity. The Untamed releases us to be the geniuses we came here to be. Thanks to all those continuing to love this story!

I interpret the ending moments as a direct confrontation to Chinese censorship - even though they do not get together, everyone watching knows they should…they part ways but everyone also sees that there is no reason that they would part ways.

If you haven’t read the novel please please please read it, the show is so censored in comparison it is sooo depressing 😭😭😭 I swear their whole romance is perfectly written in the novel THEY ARE EVERYTHINGGGG

They are both handsome and can sing too. I prefer Turkish dramas as the men have a bit of muscle on them. As a Australian it seems Asians like really skinny men whose waist look around 15 inches instead of around 30 inches. If this show were made in Hollywood it would have tons of sex scenes in it. Please check out Turkish series FULL MOON and MR.WRONG that is how a man should look like in weight.

@@lynettedevries1824 I've seen one Turkish drama. I think it's called The Protector. I enjoy it for the most part and was very grateful for the way it ended. I've been wondering if Asian cinema and drama just over-emphasize the petiteness because that's what the media pushes or if the majority of men are built similarly to the ideal. I discovered a long time ago that, although I find Asian men extremely attractive, in reality I prefer a physic where I have more to hold on to 😉😊

Thank you for this mashup of all their moments. I literally had goosebumps from excitement watching their beautiful relationship again. I just feel like standing on the tallest mountain and shouting, "THE UNTAMED IS THE BEST C-DRAMA IN THIS WORLD AND I LOVE WANGXIAN"! This drama is so beautiful, I think it's been 9 months since I first watched this drama (it's the 23rd December 2023 today, so watched it in March 2023), I thought my addiction and love for this drama would have died, seeing how I don't remember the names or what even happens in the dramas I've watched. Luckily, I still love this drama and feel their beautiful bond through the screen. Their song as well "Wangxian" is so beautiful, especially the name of the song being a combination of their names. I love this drama so much!😭☺️🥹🔥💚❤️🫶🏼✨️

they did not need a ' thank you"" or a "sorry", they were soulmates, never have I ever been so into a series before, I read the books and can say they both did a great job acting as Lan Zahn and Wei Ying. Not much was needed more, watch the series many times and will in the future, because it is so beautyfull

I love love love this drama, I can't have enough of it ❤️ Have read the novel and it helped fill in the blank spaces 😊. I fully understand why lan Zhan was initially cold to wei ying even tho he was developing some feelings for him, he thought he was just a player...but with time his love could only grow stronger when he get to see exactly what Wei ying truly represent. And from then, they became inseparable ❤️

Since you have read the book, can you tell me if they part at the end? I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the last two episodes because I'm afraid I'll be heartbroken 😭. But now having watch this video (and others) it seems they go their separate ways. Is that how the book ends? It doesn't make any sense to me.

@@VampcatVvvvV the movie had to end like that because it was sensored but even at that it still ended well cos at the end of the scores... you will notice that Wei ying heard his name while he was still playing their love song,...that was Lan Zhan who returned to find him 😊. Watch the last episode again till after the end of the score.... you will notice that he was wearing a different robe showing that time has passed, then you will hear the gentle sound of his name and watch how he froze, turned around and smiled 😊 that was because he saw Lan Zhan. However, in the novel, after real truth about Yao was exposed, Wei ying and Lan Zhan never separated again, they started living together as married couple. The novel is more detailed with lots of intimate scenes.... you really need to read it ❤️ The novel will show more how deeply Lan Zhan loved Wei ying 😭

Sadly, I'm unlikely to read the book because I haven't yet found a translated copy. Possibly due to dry eye issues I find it uncomfortable to read things online that are long.

First couple of episodes are quite hard to understand as too many lines and characters, when I up to I think 7 or 8 I went back to watch from the beginning and after that I could not stop, 50 episodes is not enough, I want double 😊

Bueno viendo y leyendo me doy cuenta que no soy la única obsesionada con esta serie... Ya me ley la novela me compré los manhuas y vi los dongua... Y la serie ya la he visto más de 10 veces ya no si quiera necesito leer para saber qué dirán! Es solo el hecho del amor que transmiten... Que sin decirse o hacer nada te muestran tanto... Amo a los actores les quedó tan bien el papel la verdad que me llevaron a buscar todo lo demás... Y pues acá al final se ve que se separan pero al final el Wei ying de lan Zhan da mil años de vida... Y saber que tanto en la novela como manhua si quedan juntos yo soy feliz!!! Es belleza maxima... Amor eterno a Wei y Lan
