Hello Orchid, I have just finished up cycling my black bedroom lampshades by following your video, I used gold table mats on the top of my black shades they look a million dollars, (well pounds as i live in England)😃 my bedroom is gold, black and cream so they match very well. Try a dollar store.. I think they carry this type of placemats.

I saw this video a couple of months ago and I was ready to throw away my lamp shades and then I came across this video. Thank you! Ever since I've been on the hunt for the plate mats and drum sound please, I found them yesterday and I do not need to paint because they are the exact color I need. Found then at "Lots for Less" in the city (I live in NY) and I pay $1.99 for each. I can't wait to try this. Thanks you so much for sharing your talent. GBY
