In 1986-ish, in Los Gatos, California I was a 17 year old kid and saw a blue Lp400 for sale on a street corner... it was $25,000. As well, there was a Miura parked next to a body shop and the guy wanted $12,000 because he couldn't get it to run. It was the bright orange.

Wow! The good old days. Wish I had known that
Where is the end video??
Yes the restoration is complete and it is back to its original green with white interior. Full story in the November 2016 issue of ClassicCars magazine.
I wanted to see the finished one, this was a total rebuild, really nice work. Absolute nice
My 75 LP4000 with skinny tires, no flares or wing is the best looking Countach. They are all special but in it's original form the l find it's original design the most appealing.

I think that is what everyone thinks as is reflected in the market values for this model

@@lamborghiniregistry bought it with 5 other cars from an estate in 2009. It was a basket case, blown engine, missing rear suspension and brakes, no seats, rusty frame, rusty everything! I've never bought a car as an investment only to drive but my car buddies were all telling me l'd lose money by the time it was done. Sat in my garage a couple years before starting it. Took it for it's first drive in 2021 and am just now considering it all sorted and done. I did spend a HUGE amount of money on it but l think it would safe to say on a bad day l would at least double my money. It's a great car, you have to do a lot of work to drive it fast (never known to be a great handling car) but so gratifying when you do. The sounds and feel are intoxicating. I have a 350 GT and Diablo also

That is insane true artists and technicians ! At work
Very cool to see it become born again, wondering how long this project took to complete. Price probably out of this world but WORTH every penny. Keep up the good work.
Utterly fascinating superb restoration ‘and all done for 1500 quid apparently’ !! 😂 Possibly the best restoration video of a countach on KZread I’ve ever seen. Please show the many viewers of this wonderful video the end result . AAAAA+++ ++

@@lamborghiniregistry Dare I say ‘Not being an owner of a Lamborghini but it was when Lamborghinis were Lamborghinis not glorified Audi ! Hope this doesn’t offend.
Grandioso lavoro!! BRAVI!!!!!!
has the restoration complete yet? cant wait to see how it finish after paint job.
WHAT BARBARIAN. WONDERFUL JOB. ARTIST'S.

Did they make a fiberglass casting of the door at 7:30 ?
GOOD JOBS for VIDEO
oh my god!!!
7:31 Did he just cover the door skin in glass fibre? If so, why?
Does rebuilding it make its handling any better? But seriously, great video. Very satisfying
Is not fuel ecopnomically feaseable for regular schedule use. Track use only of not new weight balance established properly.

The Countach was never economical fuel wise, even for track use. That’s not what it’s about

Yeah, pretty complex
Very, very, very, labour intensive! Today you would go with carbon fibre modular construction... the owner must have spent an absolute fortune. Mind boggling!

@@lamborghiniregistry This video just show how to throw up the money.... Because this car wasn´t crashed, wasn´t broke, these guys didn´t do anything special, just change the colour of interior and exterior and clean it... that´s it. BTW if something is perfect, how it´s can be "more perfect"?
@lamborghiniregistry

You make it more perfect by giving everything a complete and thorough examination and servicing as well as returning the car to its original colors as it came off the production line. Not a problem. This is time lapse photography of the work being done by the shop over several days or weeks. It is also a few years ago when this was made and we were allowed by the owner to post. Unfortunately, that’s all we know but still interesting to watch. It would be great if they did more of these but probably already too much work for the mechanics to continue
