I seen it two years ago on Xmas they on my block is something you can hear from couple of blocks away. It sounds amazing it was the same color as this one is one of the hardest cars to get out of. Is amazing looking I would love to own one.

A true classic Italian, love the raging bull and here is one of the originals. Bellissimo!!

These are starting to go for close to $1,000,000 mark in the auctions. Well deserved. The styling is so timeless.

what a video. No idiotic music in the background, no fancy yet annoying editing. just the Lamborghini sound and him talking NOTHING else. beautiful. Kudos +EVO you made my day :)

I agree, the sound level between the sound of the V12 engine and the voice of the driver is absolutely perfect in my opinion.

valgehiir Nope. TopGear really lost it's appeal near the end. It was all just the same jokes and none of them were particularly skilled behind the wheel. I prefer actual car driving to comedy.

eddiefara Yes everyone seems to want to get on TV not realizing that it is the dying medium. In a few years the internet will leave it for dead, Amazon Top Gear will probably help that actually.

It's just a delight to look at, especially in person. The De Tomaso Pantera and Ferrari Testarossa were also dream cars of mine as an 80's kid.

Easily my favourite car of all time.

I was born way after production of this car stopped, I was born in 1998 yet this car has and still remains one of my favourites. The car is absolutely mental which is why I love it and it sounds amazing. This is what a Lambo should be like. I would much rather have one of these than something like the Huracan

Ahhh, the Countach! THE poster car from my childhood. I had the famous Athena Countach 5000S poster adorning the wall of my room when I was young and it has been my dream car ever since... Great review Mr. Meaden. How I envy you...

lp400s was a BOOMM supercar during my childhood era. born in 87, this car easily became my fav supercar. since my brother had a lot of supercar's magazines and posters over a wall back then, by looking at this lp400s reminds me how close we are, me and my brother was a countach freak, this brings a lot of memories, of our relationship :)

I remember well, a couple of years later, when I started to see KZread videos for first times, after so many years dreaming the pure sound of those genuine supercars

I never thought I would see the car that was on back of a magazine from the top down when I was a kid. The Yellow Lambo LP400 with the wing. Although I think the one in the magazine had the front wing also. It was just a piece of art, that I would draw instead of pay attention to my Jr High School class.

Super cars like this used to be so special and hard to come by. Back then when you saw a Lamborghini or a Ferrari on the road it made you get all amazed and excited to see one. Nowadays you see super cars on the road like a dime a dozen and they don’t seem to excite me as much.

The most beautiful Lamborghini ever. The yellow color is perfect for this model.

Since I was about 5 when I saw Canonball Run this is my Favourite car.

Love the flag style Vitaloni mirrors and the absence of side skirts that were present on later cars....👍👍

As a person born in 96', I grew up with the murcielago and gallardo on my walls, so it's nice to see where it all began.

Remember seeing it in Cannonball Run 2. What a beautiful car. Definitely ahead of it's time when it was released.

I saw the first one in London...and the next one in Paris. Both stay in my mind...until today. Not the most beautiful, but most special.

the S version of the lp400 had different carburrettors mounted on the side to make rear visibilty better. it actuallt produces 353ps. unlike the periscopos and the 5000s 375ps. great review btw!

I think it might have helped that you were driving at a comfortable pace on a closed circuit, and not on public roads. I still remember Mr. May (another huge Countach fan) hating driving one on the road. Still, I'm just happy seeing and more so hearing one! I do love an angry V12 >:-)

Seeing a Countach on the street, (or being driven properly on a track like in this video) gives me the same reaction as the first time I watched "Kiss Meets the Phantom" and saw Gene Simmons step up to the mic and sing, "Oh my god, that demon is alive!"

+Fiat x19 I had one on the 2nd car i ever owned, a super exotic Peugeot 205GTI 1.9, it sounded great but rotted away within the first 18 months (the exhaust, not the car), proper Italian engineering :)

Ive had the pleasure of driving a Countach 5000s (see my videos) a couple times....wonderful car. Like Dickie said, a lot of the reputation of being hard to drive is a bit overblown. Still the best sound!
