I still wonder why! When I first heard this song I hated it. Guess I expected or wanted to hear something faster at the time ashes of the wake came out. But now I love this song! Top lamb of god songs for me!

In reference to whether it should be "If I die you are forgiven, but if I live, I will kill you. Such is the rule of HONOR." *or* "If I live, I will kill you, If I die, you are forgiven. Such is the rule of honor.". "If I die" deserves to the be last part of the sentence because, everyone expects that if you live that you'll seek revenge, but to honestly mean, "If I die, you are forgiven." is a more powerful, serious, and seemingly "crazy" line. If someone tells you: "I will kill you", you get it, they're mad. But if someone tells you, I'm going to kill you, but go ahead and try to kill me, if you succeed, you are forgiven... is "Mad" on a whole nother level. As in, they are okay with dying, and someone who is okay with dying that is trying to kill you is *way* scarier than someone who wants you dead, but won't risk their own life to do so. By stating it second, you emphasize just how serious and aware of the stakes you are instead of just blind rage. In short, to me, having the "If I die you are forgiven" be the second part, makes it sound like something either King Leonidas of Sparta would say, or the way someone insane like "The Joker" would say it if he was pissed and wounded. The other way, again to me, sounds like the way the average, over emotional, ignorant masses would prefer to hear it, as it focuses more on *their* victory then the possibility of *their* defeat. Problem is, *HONOR* , cares not about *you* , only that the *LAW* is fair and just... someone always has to lose, and if you're *not* okay with being the loser, you shouldn't try to play the game.

I like that they reversed the lines after "For a Wounded Man Shall Say to his Assailant..." And they're right. David Randall Blythe was arrested because some snitch in the Czech Republic went ratting to the Poe Lease that LoG was responsible for a concertgoer's death. If you can't handle the mosh pit, stay home or at least out of the pit. You don't talk to the Poe Lease unless you're a fool and a coward who cannot take care of himself.
