Pro Bowl Pivot Lamar’s legacy, Mahomes the best ever, Purdy, Cowboys in conflict, cougars & sex in the red?
The Super Bowl teams are set, and We are in Orlando with the late nights early mornings on the Pivot grind but love being able to chop it up with all the guys who earned NFL recognition for being the best of the best this season and we are soaking it all in.
Getting into Lamar Jackson and what being the front runner for MVP did for him but also coming up short in the AFC championship and what that means for his legacy on and off the field. Ryan Channing and Fred talk about Patrick Mahomes and the way he is seen by the world vs how Lamar is viewed which gets into the Mahomes vs Brady about the greatest QB of all time.
Playing opposite Mahomes next Sunday, Brock Purdy who as the QB of San Francisco sparks a lot of debate of where he falls in the pecking order of NFL quarterbacks on whether being a game manager or game changer. The guys are on different sides of the perspective and Ryan admits to the flack he received about his analysis but stays consistent in his thoughts. With so much of public opinion being at front and center of sports, the guys talk about how the power of our words affect people.
Ryan gets into the discussion about conflict and conflict resolution and how talking about how the early offseason for Dallas Cowboys has been a lot of in-house drama leaking to the public and how do they recenter and what’s importance of family ties and bonds. How does conflict affect relationships and how do we come back from things that are destructive.
Lightening the discussion Fred takes the conversation left and Channing brings it even more left as they talk about men having sex with women during the time of the month and we still can’t believe our producer let us keep this in but if you know Channing, you won’t be surprised. And then talk about the trend of older women dating younger men and how the roles reversed and what the guys think of this pivot.
Tap in today for a fun football conversation that get into a lot of fun topics and the guys just chopping it up about ball, life, relationships and a lot of laughs!

Channing is wild!!!

and thats why we watch. Cant have 3 RJlCs or 3 Freds on a show. Gotta have a guy like Channing that'll say the wildest things, a guy like Frank that's the complete opposite and a guy like RJ that can link them 2 together and make sense of it all lol

I'm calling RC King of Hall of Fame Hoodies
Rc is a great analyst and story teller it's crazy!! No matter how left the conversations go, he has a way to tie everyone's point together. Shout out to Chan and Fred for bringing him on
Channing is 100% right. Code switching is something you do when you do not have power in a situation. Many inner city kids will NEVER accept that brand ID to move up in life. They will do it their own way. Salute to Lamar for staying true to his energy, his background, and following his own path
"Did he just say 'the glove and the meat'?!?!"😂😂😂 I swear this is my favorite podcast!!!

Lamar is the Iverson of NFL -

No way...Iverson was more of a rebel; rough around edges. Lamar is a true professional...no internal or external conflicts & very coachable. Two totally different dudes...

Channing is too funny! 😂😂😂
You guys are awesome. As someone who is a life long NFL fan, and just respect the game, you guys are changing the narrative. The NFL should be very thankful that you guys are having these conversations. NFL marketing and promotions should be compensating you guys.
“Walk thru mud, f*** blood” lmao I’m dead
Joe Montana’s opinion of Brock matters the most to 49ers…he said today on Pat MacAffee that Brock has decision making skills and composure that is not being credited enough. He performed when the moment mattered most at 24 years old.

@@hugh-jasolehad BP only put up JG numbers I would agree with you. But the “meat riders” you speak of most of the time can be ride. Let’s stop moving the goal post on Purdy. Yet for all others, it’s okay for them to have a great D, great O players. Let’s stop making excuses for all others, but for Purdy we keep him on the judgement seat. Again goal post movement is why we are pissed off at these talk show weirdos. Just rewatch this episode in it of it’s self. Clark is moving goal post as we speak! Dude is a clown!

Fred made the best point on the Lamar conversation. Assuming that Lamar even wants these opportunities (ads, promotion, etc.) is reaching. We have no idea what he wants

RC, I love what you said about Purdy. I am not a Niner fan, but that was great.
Here for the Channing wildin out
There isn’t a one size fits all representation for black people. Black people come from all different socioeconomic backgrounds. We don’t all come from the same neighborhood or mindset. And our culture is much broader than “the culture”. I’m black, I’m not mixed, and I didn’t marry outside of my race, and I can still relate more to Patrick Mahomes than Lamar and that doesn’t mean I don’t like Lamar. But we don’t need “one representative” or “one way of life” for our race.
@thatboyyjay_.4028

He is not saying we dont have different representations , but he's the first of that certain "representation" to be in the NFL and come this far and still get critiqued without any off the field issue NFL is still a corporate business at its finest

I see what you’re saying. I was going to say Mike Vick and Marshawn Lynch, but you have a point. But I will say, Lamar isn’t really an extrovert and doesn’t really play to the media, so naturally, the opportunities wouldn’t present themselves as much as they do with athletes who are so called “media darlings” regardless of color.
I’m tuned in!!! 👀 Man Channing Wild As Hell!!! 😂😂🤣🤣🤣😭
Ryan Clark sweater is 🔥 🤞🏽🔥🔥🔥
Everybody knew Chan was saying yes to that period love.
Marshawn Lynch is 💯 Oakland…on every commercial, every reality show, movies, Beastmode, Madden, restauranteur…. Dreads before anyone else, gold grill, still getting arrested and not losing sponsors…He never claims his Filipino heritage? Father incarcerated and raised in single parent poverty. Does that not prove that personality and the ability to connect matters along with the talent factor? Marshawn is loved by everyone. So is Patty…it’s not just about being black. It’s more about how comfortable they are in any group and how open they are to experience new challenges. Ocho is from Liberty City but NightCap proves how lovable that South Floridian can be when his joy is so evident .

You make many good points and your Right. But you cited 2 examples that proved your points. But a simple truth is that those guys are outliers. Their outcomes are Exceptions to the Rule. Not the Rule. For Beastmode and Ocho to be put forward as What Happens as opposed to What Can Happen is a Bone Marrow deep falsity. Respect

RC was in his philosophy bag this ep
What’s seemingly missed is that LJ is at this crossroads where he’s thinking about how he will maintain his career while transitioning from running as much to balancing that and passing… OC did him an injustice concurrently though
Thank you Channing!!!! I said the same exact thing while the game was being played! Thank you bro!!!!!!
Lamar isn’t on commercials because he turns them down, along with the endorsements. Y’all crazy if y’all seriously think no one has offered. He’s even admitted that he turned down the Heisman commercials, which is why we’ve only seen him in one. He partnered with pro era and Oakley a few yrs ago

But it's been documented that several entities refuse to reach out to him due to his agent dynamic, which is his Mom. So a Black Woman who has clearly earned her respect is still looked at a certain way in a "Good Ole Boy" culture. The only positive is that they are keeping 100% of the money in house as a family!

Their prose on alimony couldn't be more honest and candid. The woman lives that life based on the fact she's with you thus after separation she assumes her Previous experience. At the very most a 5 year cycle (alimony payments) to gain footing over her life, finances, and experience.
