Yes, I live in England in the UK and nobody knew anything about Donny Hathaway. He was only known for the hit’s with Roberta Flack. I had a few of his and when he was with Roberta Flack’s albums way back then. I’ll never forget when I found out about his death. I had got my local newspaper and there was a small announcement saying that he had committed suicide, my immediate thought was “No no no that can’t be true, not the great Donny Hathaway” My stomach churned, I was shocked. I later found out it was true, the word why came into my mind. Donny alongside Teddy Pendergrass are my favourite singers of all time, if Donny had not took his own life he would have been a superstar. I’m glad Lalah has made him more well known because she sings as well. You are right, they both are very underrated, Lalah doesn’t get the right promotion and recognition that she deserves, it was the same with Donny. Donny’s Album Extension Of A Man is one of my all time favourites his voice on it is marvellous.

Jennifer always shows love to her fellow singers. Well known or not. Keke Wyatt, Fantasia, and so many others very proud. I'm having to get use to her as a talk show host. I didn't follow her career. I just know she has power house vocals. I'm going to go back and binge watch American Idol, Dream girls, and Aretha to get caught up.💪💪

That’s how they sing in Mongolia- it’s called “ throat singing”. Lalah can also manipulate her vocal chords like that. ❤
