The Lakers need a true BIG MAN, no way around it. AD is great at defense, but lacks the size and stamina. Besides, its asking too much of him to guard the post for 48 mins and give 30 points every night, plus he has been very vocal that he prefers the 4 and not the 5, that matters too.

Priorities this offseason: 1- Find the right experienced HC (Atkinson, Lue, not a rookie one like JJ) 2- A big center capable of defending the rim and catching a lot a rebounds. 3- A point guard that impacts our game in both ends of the court. 4- Big 3 & D Wings If Pelinka doesn’t make the right decisions this time, his time in the franchise should be finalized.

Idk what it is but for some reason the Lakers don’t seem to understand that we need two big 7-footers (or at least close to 7-footers). We greatly lack size. AD is meant to be a PF. When he plays center, he’s okay, but he’s not physical enough because that’s not his natural position nor body type. Like in 2020 when we won the championship, a Javale/Dwight combo at center would be HUGE for us. Also, I personally think that giving up on DLO would be a bad move. I think he’s super valuable compared to everything else on the free agent market, unless of course, a team really wants him and we can package him in a deal for an all-star.

AD is not MEANT to be a PF anymore because he cannot shoot from the perimeter anymore. You either need AD to shoot better or a 5 that can stretch the floor. AD worked with Dwight and McGee because he was an outside threat at that time. He isn’t that guy at all anymore…. You guys gotta understand that AD at PF also means Bron at the 3, when he plays 0 defense as is. lol I’m so tired of seeing this AD needs to be a PF, based on 5 years ago.

At this point, she's buying time because the Lakers will be profitable with Bron on deck BUT the franchise will be in Play-in purgatory. Looking at the 4 teams remaining in the playoffs, they are all YOUNG and extremely talented. Good luck overcoming them with a 40 year Bron.

I think they are making a mistake because they are choosing based on name appeal. Could you hire a coach based on the need? For example, you need a defensive coach. Then get a defensive specialist coach. Don't hire an offense-oriented coach when you need to build defensively. Build your team to be a top defensive team. Hire an offense-oriented coach to be the assistant head coach. Then fill in the rest of your coaching staff with specialists...ie, player development, shooting, etc. I know, people are gonna ask where your scoring will come from. You have TWO superstars and a top 75 all-time list. Then not to mention the obvious...these are NBA professional players. You will have scoring. The Lakers did not lose because they couldn't score. They lost because they couldn't defend. Defense fuels the offense and supports winning. Team build. Well, they already have a template from the Lakers 2020 championship team. That's what a championship team looks like. They have length, Size, Athleticism, IQ, character, heart, and a dog. They have bench guys and locker room guys. They have cheerleaders and motivators on the bench. They have hustle guys and fire starters on the floor.

I'm for Lauri because I'd love to play him and AD at the same time... you might not have a true bruiser center but having 2 elite PF/C style players would be great. On offense I imagine LBJ facilitating with Reaves/Dlo, Vanderbilt out there setting screens but mostly there for the defensive side of things, with AD and LM you could punch on people in so many different ways. On the defensive side you have a point of attack defender in JV, AR showed some significant strides on the defensive side of the ball, LBJ is LBJ, and with AD and LM out there how do you really switch hunt? Also you're gonna need someone this season to be redundant at AD's spot due to the Olympics (just sayin)... I just have a feeling he won't play as many games this season although I hope we get another healthy year. Plus it make it so that you could better stagger your AD minutes because you could always have that PF/C style player out there at all times lending to better continuity... the short fall will be at the true facilitating guard position and probably 3 point shooting, but who's that guy that fits that mold right now that is available? Unless, you're saying you want Trae (which I'm against). I think from a coaching perspective you'd need this team to focus on having the team make up for that lack of facilitating guard by everyone baring some of the load and associated accountability for turnovers. Rotation wise you need one of AR or LBJ on the court at all times, LM or AD on the court at all times then mix and match role players around them.

I like JJ Reddick and i would not be upset if they hired him his basketball IQ is crazy and the respect from Bron is there plus i think he would get in guys faces if they weren't following there role unlike Ham. I think Reddick could be a great head coach i think the biggest question/ downside is the no experience at all not even as an assistant so if you hire him you definitely wanna make sure he's got some former head coaches on that bench to help him such as a Mike Budenholzer

As a fan, I rather see the Lakers go young and get a coach that can develop them and max out their potential. The West is young and the best teams in the playoffs right now play TEAM DEFENSE, this includes their STARS. Lakers DIVAS ONLY play when they want and they exaggerate injuries, seems that they just dont care about the fans and are only about themselves. I am starting to believe if they sabotaged the nuggets series to prove a point (coach, trade requests) like they tried to when they both did not play vs the Celtics, that backfired though.
