Damn, she's a superior singer. That tone is just honey over gold.
Some people have an amazing voice. Some people don't have such an amazing voice, but they bring an emotion and delivery that others can't. Rachel does everything. Rachel's voice is so spectacular, but she sings like a musician who has mastered their instrument. The extra emotion through her delivery can't be taught. That is the mastery marked by uniqueness. It simply can't be taught, it has to be found through true mastery and passion.

Rudy Malmquist - you paid the greatest compliment to Rachael by imaging she lip-synced this vocal. Of course she didn't - I have recorded with her for years, and I assure you it is impossible for her lip-sync anything because she never sings a song the same way. She will sing a song ten times and each will be different, each as good or better than the other. There are so many nuances in rhythm and improvisation here that it would be harder to lip-sync than to do it live. To imagine that she could lip-sync it as good as it looks is actually greater praise than if she did not. But when you see her in concert you will know that she is able to knock off a vocal like this every time she sings, in one take with no editing.

I have cried a thousand tears when Amy Winehouse left this world and here I am rejoyicing that her voice has returned, only now healthy and drug free. Keep on singing my lady. You've been givening a gift, use it for good!
I’ve watched this video a few hundred times over the years. It still gives me chills. She did this in one take for Record Store Day 2014. I have the 45 from that day. I didn’t know what it was when I picked it up, but I assure you I was an immediate loyal fan. What an incredible voice and even more incredible ensemble backing her.
Looking at that absolutely beautiful woman then hearing that voice melts my heart
Very few can touch her vocally. She's on her own level. Incredible.
Oh my,like waking up and asking, where has this person been my whole life! Unbelievable music she has created, has touched my heart, and will continue to do so! New go to ,don't think I will ever forget to first times I listened!
Other than the voice, the presence, the emotion, the pitch, the timing, and the way she draws you in, I can't see what the big deal is...
This is a masterpiece
2:09-2:29 has an amazing buildup where it looks like she is needing to take a breath soon, but doesn't until after the smooth decrescendo. I love the sudden change in emotion and intensity before and after the 2:23 climax as well. I freaking love this woman and how much talent and control she has with her voice. Simply amazing.

This isn't the first time that this performance has brought me to tears, and I doubt it will be the last. Nor, is it the first time that I've cried while listening to this through damaged headphones. So underrated. Can't think of a better written song or performance since this came out. Deserves millions of likes. ❤️
Is it just me or it’s getting crazier out there? I mean I remember when i first listened to this song, life was full of beautiful moments, music had a different vibe, like more artistic and soulful vibe, in a profound way. Happy that i refound this song, so beautiful, so deep.
This is the first time since 1965 I've ever been drawn into a band to want to know each one's name. The drummer is a 'song' drummer but with great technical skills, a rare talent.. The bass player is captivating and so energetic playing like upright like an old pro. The guitarist is incredibly interesting like George Harrison adding the perfect guitar accompaniment. The leader singer is absolutely hypnotic and the backing vocals are fabulous. I feel like a kid listening again to them. Bravo!!! I can't wait hear and learn more about them.

Did you catch her "I've had enough" hand waving at crescendo? She's not just singing a song but baring her soul. 😢
I can't believe this has been posted for a decade and I am just finding it. I am thrilled to have a new band to obsess over.
She’s a very different kind of beauty, beyond normal by far yet still easily fitting into the “girl next door” category. The biggest difference being her unique voice, that once heard will never be forgotten. Yet all at the same time there’s a certain force within her that pulls me out of my hole wanting to merely just set close to her flame. . . Somehow nostalgically pleasing and beyond any explanation!
I had the good fortune of seeing Lake Street Dive in concert a year ago. Not only was I in awe of Rachael's voice. I was also impressed with the talent of the other band members. Bridget Kearney has a pretty impressive set of pipes too, as well as the ability to shred the upright bass. Mike Calabrese and Mike Olson are also very talented individuals in their own respects as well. This group is a perfect blend of talent.

I've found that a good way to gauge how much a vocalist cares about their actual performance is to see if they're not afraid to make funny faces while they're singing. Rachael has it down.

Dude , same here !
Extremely beautiful and charming. A perfect voice and attitudes are reminiscent of the old school of original American music! I adore her.
This singer is so different from any one today. Other than Sinatra, I have never seen or heard someone sing with so much emotion and intensity. Rachael Price is the best singer today in any genre. This performance is just jaw dropping. Besides the beauty and great range of her voice, I watch it and feel that she believes every word she is singing. The facial expressions and body language instills in me a feeling that she is in SUCH distress, which seems to be in the meaning of the song (note buildup and explosion from 2:10 to 2:25. THAT is emotion). This whole performance is a piece of art. The camera work captured it perfectly.
I don't know how many times I've listened to this over the months, but this incredible performance utterly knocks my socks off each and every time. I can't say I've ever witnessed anything better - perhaps equal in very rare cases - but not better. This performance is a gem I will never forget. Thank you, Rachel Price, from the bottom of my heart!

It exists nowadays. You just need to search really hard, which takes a lot of time. The average person spends the majority of their day at work. The car ride to and from work is filled with music that's presented to them by pop radio DJ's that are paid to play the same playlist of 8 songs for 14 hours straight. But, the ones who do explore outside of the boundaries of radio are greatly rewarded.
I wish I could like this video more than once.
This song just breaks my heart every time I hear it, but i can't stop listening. Its weird how something feels good and hurts at the same time
my brother told me about this,, you have to watch how good this is,,wow i think he slightly called it wrong ,,the vocals on this are just fantastic,,you go a long before you hear better ,,,,real music sung GREAT.
This lady's voice almost almost makes me cry.
Why have I only heard about this absolute diva now.....😓🥰
Her voice brings me to tears! So Much emotion, depth and feeling coming out of her!
