Update: as of February 2022, this siren has been re-installed and is back in service and restored.
Update: As of December 2021, this siren has been removed and is currently being restored.
This siren is the Ronkonkoma Fire Department's Backup siren. It's used for fire calls only in Attack when the STL-10 next to it fails to sound. This siren is located next to the Ronkonkoma Fire Department on Portion Road.
Finally was able to record this siren in my old hometown. For years, this siren sat silent due to a complete motor failure. She was fixed up and now she’s blasting the noon whistle again! Really great to hear this awesome siren again.

Yes, the siren had the electrical problem, it also had gotten a piece of mettle stuck in the chopper so the motor couldn't turn at all. Years ago when this siren was used as the primary siren, it had the solenoid box hooked up. It could do a high low along with the standard attack signal! Yes. It’s the primary fire Siren, the 3T22 is currently out of service
