Beautiful scenery. Doing my very first self guided walk there this December. Can't wait!!!
I fell in love with the Lake District on my first of two crossing along the Coast to Coast way back in the mid 1980s. Derwent water away from the hustle and bustle of the road is very peacefull and relaxing, but I have only ever done it from Keswick to Borrowdale and visa versa, but later in the year I will attempt a full circuit with my trusty Canon Camera and tripod to stock up on some photographic Memories for the time I know will come when I can no longer hike the Fells, Valleys and Mountains in the area. There is nothing more relaxing for me than a two weeks ramble round the Lake District than a Lakeside stroll on my way to Borrowdale and Stonetwaite Campsite, for a weeks hiking or the hike back to Keswick to catch the Coach back to flat Essex. Now I am retired I am planning another visit this summer to recharge my Memory Banks with the scenic Beauty of Derwent Water and Borrowdale. Now I am retired I may even change from my normal camping routine at and opt for B&B. Thank You LDF for the video. Tony in Essex.
Around Derwent Water is my favourite Lakes walk, was there in October 2023. Love Keswick it's a beautiful town. Memories.
Beautiful just beautiful Keswick and derwent water is one of our favourite places greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have ran around there Soo many times as an adult, used to play for hours on end down by the lake making camps.. now live the other side of the world and continue to love watching your films 👍
Fabulous watching the Derwent water swim today !
You a right about the path flooding! Did this walk with my daughter in August and we had great fun carrying our boots so we could wade through 😀
Gréât video as always. We Often do this if we’ve done the parkrun first thing.
another great walk. very beautiful scenery. so glad I could come along
Really enjoyed that video, perfect weather day for you too.
Nice film. I will give that a try sometime. Thanks for taking the time.
Thanks Neil, nice walk. on the list .
Fabulous! I may do this one with the dog at Christmas
Great vid thank you! Just the right amount of commentary and some great views.
Great vid. We've done that walk. Nice to see it through someone else's eyes.
Wonderful walk - thank you! It’s on my list for when we return to the Lakes in the new year 😊
Derwentwater is my favourite, but that might be because it's the one we've spent the most time at! Fantastic video!
Amazing video! Thank you from Scotland for your work!
Another enjoyable vlog, thank you. It is good to see a low level walk included, as they should not be ignored just because walkers are capable of climbing the highest fells. They are excellent for a leisurely rest day or bad weather on the tops, the Derwent Water circular being one of the finest. Many years ago I walked with friends around the Borrowdale end of the Lake in mid winter. Dusk was approaching and we reached the point where you mentioned it was prone to flooding and impassible. However, I new better and we didn’t want to turn back as we were so close to the road. We decided to wade across a number of flooded channels, with we me leading the way. I stepped into the last channel with the immortal words “I wonder how deep this is?” before disappearing. My mountain chums nearly died, laughing😂
Taking my disability scooter there next week. The Miles Without Styles scheme is great. Any tips, anybody??😊😊
