Lake Constance - Wilderness on the Water - Go Wild

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

No other European destination has as many incoming and out-going flights as Lake Constance: it's the main hub for migratory birds in Western Europe. Over 300 different species pass through every year: that's more than a quarter of a million birds. Lake Constance is so large that, standing on one shore, the Earth's curvature prevents you seeing the opposite bank.

My mother grew up in Friedrichshafen. I've visited there 3 times, but alas - it's been 39 years since my last visit. Yep, that's right - haven't been back there since before Germany's reunification. Sure do miss it!!!

I've never met another American who has even heard about this magical place. Excellent documentary, especially with that silken-voiced woman narrating! 👍👍👍

I'm very familiar with Lake Constance (Bodensee). My mother grew up in a city on the German side. I've visited 3 times, but not since '83.

Can someone tell me what use the cormorants and crow/ravens have. They seem to me to be pests to other wildlife.

I totally agree. There's nothing worse than a night on the lash, a curry or kebab etc, coming home and spewing up and the missus going mental. I think they call it being hen-pecked. Kind regards
