CoronaHardwood I hate to say it but most homeowners don’t consider the material handling. They assume they can order 1000+ pounds of something and it’s going to be handed off like an Amazon Prime shipment. Of course, they should know better but guess who is going to take it on the chin on yelp? Smart investment!

Whoah was that first load heavy?

Yeah the pallets we deliver are typically 2,000-2,500 lbs. We recently invested in an electric pallet jack that makes the job so much easier and safer.

@@CoronaHardwood jeez…was that possible before without that pallet jacket? Or did it require a forklift

@@SUNDROPINN Prior to having a pallet jack we off loaded the old school way. One box at a time by hand. It took 30 mins to an hour to offload each delivery. Definitely a life saver.

I just landed this delivery flooring job.. any tips and tricks..

Having the right tools for the job makes life a lot easier. We recently added an electric pallet jack and are upgrading our liftgate to be larger and handle more weight. Without those two things it will take a toll on your body and no easy way to do it except for brut strength. The lift gate and pallet jack were the two best investments our company made.

@@CoronaHardwood and as you reply i quit the same day. It was slave work with no tools. I had to carry 1 or 2 bundles to 2nd and 3rd floors. We weren't allowed to leave bundles inside garage or inside house. Each room had to have the correct bundles for square feet. It was really a bad experience.

what kind of truck is that?

It is a Hino 195. Great truck for getting into tight residential areas.

Actually it is an Isuzu NPR, which is very similar. We used to have a Hino 195 prior to this truck. Almost identitcal
