First dry day with sx2 at laguna. I did a 1:44.2 with conti ecfs here last month. The target with sx2 was 1:46.5 (record is 1:46.6).
My window was probably the first session, when it was cool. I had 2 laps, but didn't have the confidence to send it. I had to gradually re-familiarize my self with the car. This lap happened in session 5.
I'm 0.3s off the stock class record rn. Some improvements for next time:
- V out t2 more, get a bigger exit
- smooth out t3 entry, use more exit track width
- t4, don't flick in too hard, don't smash the gas
- t6, brake a tad earlier and get on the gas much earlier
- corkscrew: trail brake more on entry, get that rear loose and stabilize it by punching the gas at first apex
- t9: overcooked the entry, couldn't get on the gas on exit. Slow down more
