Removing the cost barrier is the biggest part of this. Development of talent being gated behind so many of these money leagues that don't even teach proper fundamentals is the biggest thing keeping the US from being an elite footballing power. It needs to be a team effort across all youth academies. Rivalries can be saved for the professional level.

Very happy to see this! Played in the SFV area when I was kid. Definitely could find some players in this area or any part of LA. Hope to see one day a SFV kid make it to something like Bayern would be very awesome and inspirational for the local kids. Hope nothing but the best this academy!!
