The parades are not longer about gay rights, but about fetish, gay or not. Being gay myself, I don't see the point in pride anyway. I think you can be proud of something you accomplished. PhD, climbed a mountain or whatever. But pride in one's sexuality is like pride in one's hair colour. You just are who your are. "No gay shame" would be much more appropriate.

I observe the month for historic reasons, such as gay people being discriminated against worse in past decades thus bringing the reason for pride parades etc. The original intent was about acceptance and wanting to be part of society, not sex itself. There are many of us who still celebrate for this traditional reason because prejudice unfortunately still exists, even against those who try to blend in.

I love that “dignified gay people.” My husband and I went to gay bars and drag shows in the 90s with our gay friends. These are adult shows with adult humor. No child needs to be exposed to that! Public nudity is perversion.

I haven’t been to Pride Parade in decades and have no plans to go ever again - it’s a shadow of its former self and has lost is origin of meaning.

We need more people like Lady MAGA, honestly. Go completely against the mainstream. Completely disregard the labels and putting yourself into boxes. He is simply a man who enjoys dressing in women's clothes. He knows he's a man, doesn't want children involved in it and honestly everything i've heard from him is pretty well put.

It's not legal but it is protected and encouraged by leftist/liberal organizations and political parties for one month in a year. In some countries (such as Finland) even rightwing political parties are very liberal so it's very hard to make a difference even with voting.

It is refreshing to see someone like Lady MAGA have some common sense.

I have a straight friend from Palestine that had to flee to safety in Israel because his gay brother was murdered by their own family and he wanted nothing to do with the killing. There are hundreds of 'queer' Palestinians living their lives freely in Israel, away from the constant threat of death that being such a way brings under Hamas rule.

Those two women are unbelievably ignorant about Middle Eastern politics. Quite shocking.

Those so called Palestinians are actually the descendants of the refugees from Egypt and Jordan after the Arab Israeli war in 1967. Palestine was given to Israel when the Roman emperor Hadrian renamed Israel to Palestine in the first century AD.

@@irishheritage893 Actually… Rome couldn’t pronounce/write the Arabic word for the Philistines (nomadic Arabs of mixed race - Assyrian, Jordanian, Egyptian,etc.) that roved between those countries and Israel where they camped and fished in the sea in a rough settlement called GAZA, several thousand years ago, so their pronunciation, ‘pel-es-tin’, and ‘pel-es-tin-ias’ became the moniker that follows them to this day in the modern ‘Palestinians’ pronunciation. I just went on a deep dive, one day, and looked it up via three or four history books, several printed 100’s of years ago (from ancient Roman writings), a couple more modern (1940’s, 1980’s)… all available online… I believe the 1940’s European map that was printed showing ‘Palestine’ instead of the ‘Israel’ it had been known and settled as for thousands of years was the result of the time, the Great War (later known as WWII),where there was much anti-semitism on several sides, so perhaps somebody thought they could steal the Jewish homeland away by printing a map that would do so. And hence the Conflict, ever since, I know I’m oversimplying a very complex history, but it’s MY best ‘educated understanding, in a nutshell.
