I love watching your reactions! They're so authentic and fun and good memories

I had a version that was all of The Fame plus these songs so I never knew it was two separate albums, just thought it was a deluxe! Something I find interesting is that in a lot of the songs of these two albums the verses are in minor, pretty dark sounding and the choruses are in major and almost over the top bubbelgum pop sounding. I wonder if that's her way of portraying the false happiness and the perfect face out that celebrities might show to the media vs. the darkness behind the scenes. Examples: Pokerface, Bad Romance, Paparazzi, Boys boys boys, Dance in the dark etc. Also Teeth makes me think of a cult or witches walking around a fire chanting a spell or something haha.

@@LydiaandJessiePlaylist with the song being the last one kinda encapsulating the entire album and then it being “the truth monster” it kind of incorporates all facets of every song. She wants the truth and nothing but the truth from someone, the bad, the ugly, good the good, the beautiful, the horrible, just for sake of transparency. Not to mention this came at a time when she was kinda being gawked at by not just the music industry for her showy looks and persona so her making a song about “truth” just showed that this is who she isn’t and Isnt just a show. Also at this point she was dealing with a lot of trauma, so her coming to terms with a lot of the truths in her past could’ve also inspired the song as well. Just the need and want for the truth, for reality, whether it be good or bad, to understand herself and those around her.

Dance in the dark is one of my fave songs of all time. It's such a great song!

this is probably my second favorite project of her's after artpop, this is her most genius and well executed era in my opinion

Teeth is one of the most underrated songs in her discography

another fun one is I believe that with the telephone music video she broke the record for most product placements in a music video, so it's fun looking for the different brands and items, and alsooo, Aura was set to be the sequel to Telephone, as Papparazzi is the prequel, especially since gaga wanted Aura as a single so she but they wouldn't let her so she leaked it herself... so iconic

funfact! gaga originally wrote telephone for britney spears, she even had her demo! sadly her label rejected it... someone made a fanmade version of gaga & brit together, and someone added beyoncé! it could've been a much bigger hit if she was included but alas, we were robbed

monster really takes a much darker meaning with the revelations she revealed last year of having to ab*rt a fetus from this SA experience as a teenager that's almost certainly the one she's talking about in this song and others like Swine and Marry the Night :(

I think pop stars in this new generation are so different nowadays! It’s like a completely different concept

I kinda hate to say it cause I love this album, but I also hate Teeth. For me, it sounds like it just doesnt belong here. It feels like it belongs on Joanne. I honestly would've preferred her unreleased song Animal to take place as the 8th track.
