I think she really got more comfortable with herself later on and didn't feel the need to hide behind an artistic way of standing/voice.

  • @arieltroncoso3871

    @arieltroncoso3871

    Yes but no - of course her higher pitched voice was 'her', but she was quite young, and as she's aged, her voice has naturally gotten 'less sweet', less baby-ish per se. And early in her career, her media persona and her anxiety basically forced her to put on this sweeter, younger voice in order to appeal.

    I think she started with something to prove I think she might have felt some pressure to be this pop genius and come off that way and now she is free and doesn’t have to prove her artistic vision and intellect. She can communicate a lot more naturally and be more down to earth. As before I think she wanted to be so unique and set herself apart from the pack.

    do y'all not know that she used to suffer from bulimia? when you vomit often the acid slowly erodes your vocal chords making your voice sound more hoarse. and you notice that her voice was okay then becomes more rough and then get softer again. so in my opinion i dont think she purposely changed her voice but instead it was her voice recovering

  • @BambiTrout
    @BambiTrout3 жыл бұрын

    Tbh a lot of it just sounds like her getting a lot more confident. Early on she almost sounds quite timid - like speaking softer and slower and more obviously thinking about every single word. Even in the Cheek to Cheek interview it sounds like she's affecting a slight accent and a higher pitch. The thing is that her singing voice noticeably deepened and richened from The Fame to The Fame Monster to Born This Way, and it has stayed fairly consistent since, yet her speaking voice didn't hit its current pitch until 2015. This was likely not coincidentally when she started presenting as herself rather than an exaggerated pop star caricature. You can see that from the 2015 Jimmy Fallon clip onwards that she is visibly more engaged and more conversational, and she seems more happy to just go with the flow of the conversation rather than carefully selecting every word as it comes out. I notice that I myself always tend to speak higher and posher when trying to make a good impression, and it is only once I am relaxed that I start to speak at my natural pitch and cadence.

    not only due to aging as everyone else does but also her voice getting lower was contributed from a lot of things and i'll name a few. so we all know before gaga was famous her voice was very high, even a soprano one might think. but as the years went on and she got into her late teens and early 20s she experimented with a lot of drugs which can lead to voice damage, and as she started to really dive into her singing career in her early 20s she said she was constantly traveling around as well and she never got sleep because of the constant promo and lack of sleep can cause damage to the cords because they dont get the proper over night repair same for the rest of the human body as well, and we can clearly hear vocal irritation/tiredness in the beginning of the fame era from all of the constant traveling and promo. vocal irritation! gaga has a habit of screaming, growling, and squalling a lot during her concerts for effect because of the physical high of being amped up while performing (it does sound good tho lmao) which can lead to vocal irritation and because she does it so consistently it has damaged her voice. smoking! we all know gaga is a big smoker not only with just cigarettes, but also with marijuana, and i think we all know the affects smoking in general can have on the human body and in her case (like with most people) it has contributed to leaving tar on her vocal cords and making the voice deeper. bulimia, this is a sensitive topic for most, but with gaga she has been open she was bulimic in a period of her life. and if you dont know what bulimia is, it is when a person throws up/throws up the food they ate to stay skinny. and you might not think much of this besides the fact it hurts your body, but in specific it hurts the throat, and the acid from the vomit eats away at the esophagus including the vocal cords, which in result damage the cords. also!! need i remind u that gaga stopped doing drugs early in her career and wasnt bulimic anymore at least after 2008/2009(although there were periods where she wouldnt eat ☹️) so the main contributer to her vocal damages was all of the smoking, which is very sad because her voice had such an admirable tone in the the fame monster/born this way era. all in all, gaga has experienced a lot in her life so far, and even through all of the vocal damage, she has amazing technique and even tho her voice is heavier and lower she still manages to hit all the same notes and in result of all the damage some really great low notes! so let's appreciate her! she's amazing♥️

    I know a lot of you have your reasons as why there’s a differentiation from 2008/9 compared to say, 2013/4 onward - but in both first 2 interviews there’s no questioning if she has anxiety or faking a voice - especially in the first interview. Shes anything but nervous or anxiety ridden. She’s was very off the cuff in the first interview, very very relaxed, even divulged on the mystique/enigma around her “character” if you will. There’s however a Johnathan Ross interview in 2009 and 2010 where she genuinely sounded like she was altering her voice and she actually did seem ever so slightly nervous. Someone In here said she explained why her voice sounded different years ago and it was because she was puking a lot. Which i had no idea that was the cause. But I can see that. I think she was experimenting a lot too. The Fame perfume interview - honestly don’t know what she was going for with that personality vibe - but someone said she was ill or just not feeling it - but the majority of perfume promo she was acting quite passive bitchy (which I don’t think she was, I think she was doing some experimental character maybe?)

    I seem to recall the first Jonathan Ross interview was a bit awkward as he may have been rude or disrespectful to her. In subsequent appearances on his show, he was a lot nicer and showed respect, so she was more comfortable

    Her voice is basically the same... But obviously everyone's voice changes as you grow.. fyi women's voices don't sound deeper women's voices mature and I don't hear much of a change. She's REAL that's why. Always been herself always been consistent 👌💖👑

    One can put on, or modify, nearly any accent, but this is a great compilation of what not to do. I love the more natural accents toward the end. I appreciate her music regardless what accent she puts on or has, though

    All the slightly different accents and vocal annotations. It's like she puts on a personality before she goes into each interview. I love her voice and her. I have anxiety and if I had to do an interview, I'd probably do the same thing because I'd be so nervous... I notice her more recent clips are more natural. So I think she just got more comfortable in her own skin in front of the whole world to see.
