Ladies' Man (1947) Full Movie
Ойын-сауық
1947 musical starring Cass Daley and Eddie Bracken. Also starring the beautiful Virginia Welles and the sultry vixen Virginia Field. Supporting players are Spike Jones and Johnny Coy.
This is personally my favorite Cass Daley movie, so please enjoy!

🔵IN 1963 WHEN I JOINED THE COLUMBIA RECORD CLUB THE FIRST ALBUM I RECEIVED WAS THE SPIKE JONES & HIS CITY SLICKERS ALBUM.🔴
Cass Daley Was a comic genius. this is a fun little film
Sooooo much fun!!! Enjoyed every silly moment 😂❤
I love Eddie Bracken. So nice to see him in "Home Alone 2" after so many years. Loved him in "Miracle of Morgan's Creek" and "Hail the Conquering Hero"!
I have always liked Eddie Bracken’s films, including “The Fleet’s In,” “Summer Stock,” and “We’re Not Married.” “Ladies’ Man” was a first for me, and it was an enjoyable movie. I liked the storyline, the great cast and some of the most fantastic musical numbers. To me, the highlight was the energetic tap dance of Johnny Coy. It took me by surprise when Spike Jones and his City Slickers Band performed the hilarious “Tea for Two” number because we had our own version of it as part of my high school play, so it was a nice reminiscence. Thank you for posting!!! 😃
This has made my week....im always clicking on films and I clicked on a gooden. Happy me xx
Oh my goodness what an absolutely adorable movie!!!! Thankyou for sharing!!!
A real hidden gem. The dance number by Johnny Coy was one of the best I've .ever seen! Such a lot of comic talent packed into that film. Why isn't it better known?
Such a great movie! And what’s even more great is that Cass Daley had second billing! She was so funny and talented, and she’s one of my all time favorites 🙂
Loved this movie the lady that played the brooken women, reminds of lucy ball. Love her. Loved the music acts too..great movie..love it.
Glad to see the wonderful Spike Jones and his orchestra in this film
What a great high energy (and pretty much unknown) musical! I checked a number of musical film reference books, and there's not a mention of this little film. But the cast is great, especially when Cass Daley, the City Slickers, and Johnny Coy let loose. Yes, and that's Andy Williams in the quartet. Speaking of Coy, there doesn't seem to be much biographical information on him. He co-starred in a number of films in the 1940s and also worked Broadway and radio, but the only reference I found for him between the 1950s and his death in 1972 was a photo from 1963 which suggested he was teaching dance.
Great movie thanks so much I enjoyed every minute of it 💖🎬😉👍
Beautiful movie, adorable character
Thank you! Eddie Bracken fan here... thank you so much for the intro to Cass !!! Treasure trove! XX♡♡

Eddie Bracken was great in 'Miracle of Morgan's Creek' and 'Hail, the Conquering Hero', both films are terrific and feature William Demarest at his best, and of course Betty Hutton is awesome in Miracle of Morgan's Creek.
Good movie!!
Cass Daley kills me...
At 44:28 I think I spotted young Andy Williams singing in the vocal ensemble behind Virginia Welles. Ladies' Man (1947) should be added to the IMDb filmography of the tap dancer featured in the film, Johnny Coy, born on November 20, 1920 in Montréal, Québec, Canada as John Maver Ogilvie. He was an actor, known for Duffy's Tavern (1945), Bring on the Girls (1945) and Earl Carroll Sketchbook (1946). He died on November 4, 1973 in Barbados, West Indies.
35:42 Laughter is contagious! :D
Spike's band would soon be overhauled with the boozers discharged and non-drinkers taking their places. The members that you see here were responsible for some of Spike's greatest hits ever.
44:00 The third background singer from the left is Andy Williams (at only 20 years old).

Cass Daley plays the part of Geraldine Ryan. :)
Was Cass Daley a cross dresser? I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I'm simply not familiar with his/her movies~ I looked on your sight & saw pics of the same character portraying a woman & a man (?)

Cass was all woman, but she was always made up to look homely and unattractive. That was her image. Man-hunting amazonian with buckteeth, and capable of twisting her body into many shapes.
