The artist is the irreplaceable part, n I never stopped writing lyrics and singing. My voice and artistry r better than ever and I'm eager 2get back at it. Its never too late everyone out there w/dreams!

@@swissfreaky Recently I heard a lot from Zora Cocks (Blackbriar) and Brittney Hayes (Slayes) (Unleash The Archers). I'm just amazed how many names are available for picking up great female singers.

I worked as a cook at a music club in Californiafrom around summer 2005 to November 2008. We had many bands come through but Lacuna was special for me. About 5 minutes before closin g the kitchen for the night, I was have my last cig for the night when the roadies started to bring the gear out. Also the whole band came out too and took one look at me in my cooks jacket and practically ran up to me. They started asking if I was the one who cooked the food they had before the show and I said yes. They got so excited telling me it was the best food they had ever gotten from a venue, which blew me away cause it was just 1 pasta dish, a couple of burgers and a few fish and chips and they are from Italy for gods sake. Then they asked me if they could get a photo with me! They were so down to earth and just really nice!

I am old enough to remember the original and I thought it didn't sound dark enough myself. Obviously this will always be down to peronsal opinion, but I think that Lacuna Coil have gotten closer to the darkness I associate with the song.

I often sat and wondered what happened to that 80s era DM sound, then listened to Alan Wilder's Recoil project. Got my answer. To be honest, nothing has grabbed me by them from Exciter onward outside of "Dream On" and that's just damn unfortunate because I loved their 80s catalog. I can't say greatest band of anyone from the 80s because EVERY genre had so much to offer in that era and it was fantastic.

In Italy they are only known amongs rockers and metalheads but speaking of general popularity they never achieved big success... the highest spot they reached in italian albums charts was 11 with Delirium only the first day, then disappeared. Cristina is a little bit more popular than Andrea or Marco but still sadly almost unknown

***** The only case of "I make this because my producer/manager told me to do so" is the one from Johnny Cash. The rest, mostly were by inspiration. Hard to belive, simply because the genres are very different, but it's true. Check it out, the proof is on interviews. An there's more.

Don't ask yourself that, Depech Mode it is one of the most amazing bands of its genre or maybe the best (I can not say the best bacause I don't know very well its genre), but they are one of the most fantastic bands of its genre.

Fox Mccloud Alot of other covers of this song, the ones I know of are: Failure, Ki Theory (Ghost in the Shell), Tori Amos, Vamps, Keane, Anberlin, The Matthew Good Band, believe it or not Susan Fucking Boyle, and obviously Depeche Mode are the original artist. I have so much respect for people like you man, praising a cover of a song from a band you love is really rare to find. Other people would go on about "It's nothing like the original, it doesn't compare to the original etc." It's not supposed to compare to the original, putting a different spin to a song doesn't mean it's bad, that's talent. Yep I agree completely I was raised on the likes of Depeche mode erasure Adam ant ....plus meatloaf queen ac/dc etc but I'm loyal to my rock but can't beat erasure which if I remember right vince clark was in Depeche before erasure

Bands don't do covers to outdo the originals they do them to show respect to artists that influenced so them so constantly banging on about which is better is pointless.

+JoRdOguitarman1 dancing queen had heavier riffs, if you notice the original DM kept volume the vocals to a somber minimum ,these people play and sing so loud it's total disrespect, and wheres the percussion? It's been transformed into an irish pub drinking song.

My wife and I had the original played at our wedding in 1996. This is a great cover.

Her voice during the outro is what I'd imagine angels sounding like. Perfection.

God I fucking love LC so much. Been a fan since I was 12. Almost 32 now. Thank you for being with me during some times I nearly didn't survive, but I did, partially with help from you and other amazing bands. I will never forget you. Grazie mille y vi amo tutti! Lunga vita a Lacuna Coil!

This was my shit when I was maybe 13/14 years old. I'm 31 now. It's crazy how time flies because it feels like yesterday I watched this for the first time.

WOW What a Voice

17 years has passed, and I am here again, like if I was with a Nokia device from Xpress Music serie, which supported a 2 gb memory card, a lot back then, and immersed into a sea of confusing emotion, while listening to this masterpiece, remade by Lacuna Coil. It's like the time was stopped, nothing has changed, thought it did, but not for the deepest of my mind...

There have been a few heavy covers of _Enjoy The Silence,_ but the way this one handles the main riff/melody and Cristina's vocalizations during the outro, put this one over the top for me.

Almost unreal how underrated they are... that ending is just mindblowing

I was on a cruise ship a few years ago and I had horrible insomnia the whole time. It would be like 4 a.m. and I was up walking the decks of the ship. I happened to be up well in time to watch the sunrise out over the horizon in the Caribbean ocean when this song came on my playlist. Beautiful and amazingly open scenery, you couldn't see anything but water in any direction. I stood there propped against the railing completely by myself sipping on a hot cup of Earl Grey tea and looking around. The sky was these warm orange glowing colors fading into the dark blue of the ocean... that was a wonderful moment in my life. I just listened to this song as I watched the sun peek up over the water.

Took a 20 year break from Lacuna Coil and came back to a song that was released 17 years ago. Nice.

I was barely ten when this song came out and I have listened to the original song by Depeche Mode thousands of times over. This is why my love for rock, heavy metal, etc., has been growing more and more since I first got into listening to this style of music. God bless Lacuna Coil and may they continue making more badass music.

Forever my favourite cover of this song.

i first heard Lacuna Coil about 20 years ago at a music festival. Christina had come out to vocalize while the rest were setting up before their set and i swear her voice was sirens song. i was mesmerized and have enjoyed them ever since.
