Ogni volta che ascolto questo "?Lacrymosa" mi emoziono sempre di più. La voce che mi fa venire i brividi è quella di Rene Pape, in particolare nel finale. Pelle d'oca e lacrime in arrivo ❤❤❤

Com a devida grandiosidade do magnifico mestre Giuseppe Verdi, a Lacrymosa, magnifica, espetacular, digna de toda a indignacao do ser humano diante da morte e da despedida de nossos mai queridos entes. Obra de genio. Bravissimo!

qu'importe , pour nous, çà reste la merveille des merveilles , les deux Lacrymosa, je dirais même les deux requiems en intégralité , Verdi et Mozart , après ces deux là, on ferme, normal pour une messe pour les morts

After hearing the "origin" of this, in the French version of Don Carlo (and a few Italian productions), I want to yell at every director to PUT IT BACK ALWAYS. It's not the exact same, so it wouldn't feel out of place, and it's so beautiful. I know Don Carlo is already longer than the Return of the King Extended Edition, but whatever. A few more minutes don't matter. Also: these four would all be in my ideal cast for Don Carlo today. Add Tézier and maybe Tomlinson and we're all set.

I just saw again the Paris production by Warlikowski.....Tezier is indeed the best. And in this scene Rodrigo gets a proper funeral for once.....the soldiers salute their fallen comrade....heartbreaking!!

This performance is wonderful, especially Garanca and Pape. Jonas Kaufmann does a great job. Sometimes Anja H has a questionable tone - but a great job overall.

I wish every Don Carlo production restored it regardless of version. It's so beautiful, much better than the rushed conclusion of that scene we normally get. Also: these four singers + Tézier would be my current Don Carlo dream team.

Oh yes. Verdi originally wrote it for DON CARLOS, and it was rediscovered by Andrew Porter in 1970 (in a library in Paris, I think) . It brings the scene much closer to Schiller. The shock of recognition when you first hear it, though!

Me recordé del Réquiem de Verdi en el Teatro San Martín en Tucumán el jueves 22 de septiembre de 1966. Los conciertos fueron parte del Septiembre Musical de ese año. La Orquesta de la UNT fue dirigida por Juan Carlos Zorzi, el Coro Universitario de Tucumán fue preparado por Mario Cognato (h) y los cuatro solistas fueron Haydée de Rosa (soprano), Luisa Bartoletti (mezzo), José Nait (tenor) y Jorge Zanin (bajo).

Yo no cantaba en el Coro de la UNT, cantaba el el coro del Club Andino Tucumán que cantaba canciones alpinas.Como necesitaban voces para esta hermosa y magnifica obra,nos convocaron para cantar .Realmente es algo que jamás olvidaré muy especialmente a Juan Carlos Zorzi un director EXTRAORDINARIO!!!. Un fuerte abrazo Pepe Ovejero

Tienes mucha razon, es una pena no escuchar esto, hay que ayudar al amigo que tienes a tu lado y llevarlo con tiempo de la mano a que le guste la música clásica en general. A mi me llena muchísimo que algunos me llamen para comentarme que les encanta.
