  من السهل أن ينطق اللسان ويبلبل الغيب ولكن من العظمة حينما ينطق الموسيقار الآلات لتترجم الغيب الخبيئ في الأثير وسبحات الهواء والريح والذي يستنبته آلات الموات فاللحن والفن والنغم والموسيقى تعزفها ملائكة البسائط بتحريك الأثير أما في عالم السجن والحبس بالواسطات ولذلك يرتاح المؤمن لسحب اللحن وشتاء الموسيقى وعواصف الآلات الصافية .... من لبنان الفقير المسكين علي سليمان

  Wow!!! She is fantastic. Her phrasing and the use of her chest voice is phenomenal. That goes for the tenor as well. Oh my she has a beautiful voice. Bravaaaaa and bravooooo for the tenor. What a beautiful setting. Their acting is also amazing.❤❤❤❤

  This is just WRONG on so many levels: 1 - The key! This aria should be sung in G! Handel did NOT write this in E! E is just WRONG! In fact, even F doesn't sound right, despite the fact that it is scored that way in Xerxes. I know you tone-deaf Bartoli fans will disagree vehemently but I'm telling you: All the great versions of this are in G! Go and listen to Franco Corelli's or Klaus Wunderlich's version or if you want to compare female to female go and listen to Kathleen Battle's version: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6Z2p8Wom9nZdpM.html. G is the key. If you can't sing it in G don't sing it! 2 - The tree in question is supposed to be a plane tree in the Persian palace, NOT a dark Italian pine forest! This setting is COMPLETELY WRONG people! 3 - Cécilia Bartoli is the unquestioned mistress of vocal technique, YES, but this is at the expense of EVERYTHING ELSE! She has the ugliest voice of all the leading female singers in the world! A voice like a battleaxe: fast and accurate and made to kill. There is no soul, no beauty, no femininity to be found there. She belongs in the role of a virago. If you want to hear beauty go listen ANY other singer: Kathleen Battle, Renee Fleming, even Janet Baker. They might not have quite the technique of Ceclia Bartoli BUT they are a lot nicer to listen to! You Bartoli devotees wouldn't understand this but: Music is not ultimately about technique! It's about feeling and expression! Technique is important but not at the expense of everything else. You tifosi are simply deluded. Just look at the ridiculous over-the-top comments here... "this woman's voice is not of this world.", "She was born to sing this.", "This is how I hope Heaven is." etc, etc. Wake up sheeple! This is a poor version of a fantastic piece.
