Labour: 'This is another example of a Rishi Sunak reset'

Shadow business secretary Jonathan Reynolds has told Sky's Sophy Ridge he has "lost track" of how many resets the prime minister has had, and he can't "think of any other politician more afraid of the future than Rishi Sunak".
He was reacting to Mr Sunak's speech earlier in the day, in which he said "Labour couldn't be trusted to keep the country safe".

They're not the only ones who aren't impressed. The truth is this. For 14 years, the Tories, enabled by everyone stupid enough to vote for them, have done more to disunite the UK, to damage its economy, to harm its most vulnerable citizens than any of the UK's enemies have. The govermnents of Russia, China, Iran and North Korea are nothing compared to the Tories - who, until not so long ago, were very friendly with super-rich Russians. To borrow someone else's phrase, "With government like this, who needs terrorism?"

There have been millions of newly erected new buildings flats in the last 2 years. The issue isn’t building new homes, the issue is that there no longer is social housing and 80% of the population can’t rent or own a property for their families. I’m tired of the optics played from the blue and red side. We’re in a day of analytics and AI. Produce the stats and show the data now. So we can make informed decisions.

I think Labour are frightened things are getting better instead of giving policy they just run the country down hoping that's how they will win ,that's what Neil Kinnock thought in 1992 ???

  • @JTGOOD72

I haven’t heard the speech. What I know though, is that even if it had been a strong honest appraisal of the country, that has a clear and defined plan. Labour would rubbish it and the Tories would do the same with labour in power. Why can’t we have honest politics. There are some major issues in this country that need a plan. I don’t believe either of our two main political parties have one.

Apart from that would be the "friends Romans n countrymen " speech that whipped the Romans into a feverish state of emotional eruptions. I have a dream is another that inspires.
