What people dont know is that Michael actually wrote this song for La Toya during Off The Wall but later decided to use it himself for the Thriller album. All i can say is thank God he didnt give it to her because this is one of my favourite MJ song. And btw can you think of a better song to start a concert.

Sankento, the song was actually recorded for her debut album but MJ asked if he could have the song back for Thriller. It has a lot of personal baggage to it for La Toya and MJ. It deals with the drama between her and all the sister in laws she had. MJ always felt like she was in the middle of the drama when it came to her and the brothers, so he wrote the song to La Toya letting her know that he felt bad about it. She has been included it in her live set since 1989. She last performed it live in 2009 on the UK's Celebrity Big Brother. I think MJ's version is a masterpiece.

Many people dont know this but this song was originally wrote for Latoya jackson. In fact she actually recorded it before Micheal recorded his original version in 1978, or 79.

All the Jacksons are talented but The problem with the Jacksons is that everyone is compared to Micheal jackson...Every family members musical ability is constantly compared to Micheal Jackson. ...and thats unfair since just about no singer dead or alive actually compares to Micheal.

She was abusely controlled by her husband around that time, he made her do that statement about Michael being a predator. He even threatened 2 kill some of her family members if she didn’t cooperate with some of the shit he made her do. It was Randy (her brother) that eventually got her away from him & Michael Forgave her, knowing she wasn’t truly like that.

The vision was hers, and to a lesser extent that of her good friends and producers, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Many people, as of late, have touted the misconception that Rhythm Nation as a project and an album was Michael's idea, and that he gave the whole thing up for his sister. That is not the case. Furthermore, what Michael mentioned on his private home videos, about Janet borrowing the idea for a military dance from Captain Eo, was mentioned more to delineate that they thought "so much alike," not to take away from her own vision and talents.
