Here is an exclusive “From Nashville to You” era interview. La Toya Jackson interviewed by Brandy Wine in December 1994 about her country album “From Nashville to You”.
This album was recorded in a weeks time in March 1994 with Tommy Martin in Nashville with live musician.
The album was sent preview copies to American radio stations and music reviewers before its release. This was to hype the albums release. As well La toya went to many radio stations in Summer 1994 to bring the hype up for the album further. The album was finally released on an independent label formed by Martin, La Toya & Jack Gordon titled “Mar-Gor Records” in October 1994.
She promoted the album by performing “Crazy” LIVE on Donahue, Maury and as a guest co-host on Geraldo (if anyone has copies of these performances please send them to me or post them). As well doing interviews like these ones at events La Toya attended and Entertainment Tonight.
The album was received positively by TimesDaily Review saying “it could be a win” back in 1994. The album only sold around 7,000 copies. It was re-released in Europe in 1996 under “My Country Collection” and with a double disc set with Lynn Anderson called “The Great Ladies of Western”. Then re-released again in the UK in 2003 under the title “Little Misunderstood”.
To this day this album is the only La Toya Jackson studio album to not be released on digital streaming.

This is an interesting snippet of La Toya. December 1994. So this is between the country album and the Motown covers album. La Toya seemed in good spirits. She seemed very energetic. Theres a lost video somewhere in the world of her on the Maury show in 1994 talking about the country album and performing a song from it if I remember correctly. Keep in mind that this is around the same time that La Toya's career began to include strange things and it seemed as if Jack Gordon was going for anything and everything to make a dollar. Thanks for uploading this.

I would love if someone uploaded that interview and people said she was performing the song "Crazy" from the album! They also said it was live vocals and good ones?

@@FromNashville2You I have never seen the clip of her performing the country song, but I have seen the interview in the past. She seemed fairly lucid during it. I think La Toya is one of the few Jackson's that interviews great. She is always positive and happy. She makes me think of sunny days.

I remember this from 10 years ago before it got deleted on youtube. 0:29 mark always made me laugh how she said "Why, thank you " lol But can't help to see how robotic she seemed. Those dark days
