LA Sanitation: Rear Loader Garbage Truck on Public Litter

With the public receptacles program growing, the city has put down more of these bins around the city. The city now uses metal slated cages with manual bins inside, as you can see in the video. I assume it is to discourage intentional burning of the ALBs (automated litter bins). Watch and enjoy one of LA's greatest employee's at work. Huge thanks to him for the video, and major props for the clean truck that day.

This vehicle is brilliant, we have small compactor trucks here in the UK too bit I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like this. Very cool but I can’t imagine it holding much though, how much can you load onto it, about 2.5/3.0 tonnes?
