You got chewed out because Captain Donnelley doesn't care for justice, and insteaf for his, and by extension, the LAPD's image.

If you question Hugo and then go question Eli if you don't arrest Eli you can get to a branch in the story where Hugo runs and starts a car chase and after I caught him I was given no option to arrest him or not it just happened automatically so theres your proof that he murdered his wife

Simple fact checking would have avoided this. If we were allowed to investigate both places of work for the two suspects, we could have matched the correct workplace overalls with the ones found at the crime scene!

I charged Moller when I first played this game and I couldn't understand why Cole got yelled at after (the evidence seemed to point more to Moller due to the weapon being a part from his car). I have a feeling that this mission has a sort of political theme. It would look better for the department in the media by putting away Rooney because he's a pedophile than Moller even though he likely is guilty. If anyone has watched 'The Wire' you'd probably understand what I'm talking about.

I mean the first cut scene rules out both moller and Rooney, the guy hitting the lady dosent look anything like them two which explains why we find out later who really did it. They gave us the answer.

If you don't charge Eli then you get a tip from a janitor who walks in saying he saw the husband at the crime scene, then the husband runs out of the station and you have to do a car chase.

this case is horseshit. it was obvious moller killed his wife, but by accusing eli you get more points and the chief congratulates you. i think this is just a message of police corruption. the chief would rather wrongfully put the pervert on death row for a murder he didnt commit than have the family man put in jail while his child is an orphan, just so they could get good publicity

I like Rusty's Razor. It is pretty straightforward and accurate with how most murders originate.

This has to be my least favourite case, there's almost to much evidence that Hugo killed her, but apparently he's not the one who did it in the end.. Wtf ?

Hugo supposedly DID kill his wife, but he's a father and if you charge him he gets sentenced to death row and Michelle would have no one to live with. Eli, on the other hand, is a child molester that needs to be taken out of the way. I mean, i was like WTF too when Donelly ranted Phelps for convicting Hugo, but hey, he didn't do anything else! Even if Eli didn't do it, he still deserved to be punished.

Eli seemed the most suspicious about it. Also he had the most likely story. He was near the car when our killer was their and our killer dropped the brouch. To me he was more likely the killer

God, I hated this mission. I charged Hugo because there was enough evidence against him rather than Eli, I get chewed out for it and get a bad score for it.

I completely agree. The evidence in this case overwhelmingly points to the husband, but I feel the game/your boss forces your hand at arresting Eli. 1. The car with the evidence is proven to be Hugo's. 2. His job adds up with the tire iron and clothes. 3. History of violence/admission to an affair. 4. Lied about his alibi. 5. Burned evidence prior to the boots+lied about shoe size. 6. Rope match (with what he said). 7. She wasn't sexually assaulted (ie Eli). 8. Eli's much more confident

I love the game, but I don't understand it at all... When I'm interviewing the daughter, for the question about when she last saw her mother she says that she saw her yesterdays afternoon when she went to the dance, that her mother was supposed to come pick her up, but she didn't and she had to call her dad to come and pick her up. Why should I doubt that? The kid didn't hint that the father didn't answer the phone a couple of times, I don't know anything about him at that point, or anything about the situation in the family... so why should I doubt her answer at all? I got 3 stars for missing 2 clues, making 3 wrong decisions (this one and two other, all stupid like this one) and charging the father... I have no idea how to read the game's signs.

Oh, and one more thing... when the daughter says the truth about the ring and the watch, she first says that she never payed attention to that stuff... but when I decide she's telling the truth, she all of a sudden can remember every little detail about the watch and the ring.

filips989 There are times that the three choices don't really fit. Here's what I do and it works pretty well. If I suspect that they are holding back even the SLIGHTEST information, or they don't make much eye contact during their speech, then I doubt. So when she says that she called her dad after her mom didn't pick up. I thought "Well, how many times, and for how long were you there?"

filips989 Another thing is to remember the context of the questioning. Also, you have to realize that there are parts of the game that make you think "Oh, someone lied like this before and doubt worked, it's gotta work here!" There are things that will trip you up if you think outside of the case your working on.

i spend 2 intuition points on that case...first 2 so far...and end up charging hugo...if it's because of press..they could just lock them both.. and for a little girl.. it's better to live in orphanage than with father who killed her mother...

When Hugo mentioned his feet size, reminded me of Marco Rubio and Donald Trump talking about their hand sizes XD

The husband makes much more sense... If Eli did it for money he would have left the jewelery too. And the tire iron was from the husband same car model...

I have to agree with one of the other comments here. The first time, I charged Moller. Both had significant evidence against them, but the tire iron broke the case for me. If Rooney did it, how did he get the tire iron from Mollers car? It doesn't make sense. Naturally, I charged Moller despite wanting to see Rooney rot.

It's kinda obvious going back now how much was pointing to the killer. (Rope found in church's and boats)

This was my least favourite case. It obvious that Moller did it yet you have to charge the wrong man to get 5 stars. Sure, Rooney is a child molester, but if the department is Corrupt enough to let the obvious killer go, they should have no problem in simply letting Cole charge the right man ( Moller) and then just keeping Rooney in prison for his crimes even with the lack of evidence.

+David Brito I just completed the Homicide desk and found out who did it. Even though I know now that they guy framed them and some of the cases where pretty good, it still seemed a little bit like a waste of time doing these cases.

I think if you complete all cases in a desk, you get to do "The Street's of L.A." It's free roam for that desk. You could do Street crimes from that specific desk.

After charging Moller guilty and get yelled at by my superior, I didn't know what to believe anymore.

Same here, I charged Hugo due to concrete proof that his shoes are size 8, he has a history of violence against his wife, and he had bloodied shoes. All the information gained from Eli was indeed very cryptic, there didn't seem to be as much solid evidence against him. One question that caught me out was asking Hugo why he was burning the bloodied shoes, How the hell was I meant to know that "I did it because you wouldn't of believed me" was the truth?? Still, in hindsight, you can rule Hugo out

You get more XP for charging Eli, but other than that there is no change but the cutscene

It obviously was Eli Rooney because at 0:23 before the case starts she got out the car, and he likes to hang out around the school, also as you can see when he approaches he has on the same color that he had on in the interview

Spoiler alert (don't read this if you're still interested in the story): None of the people you convict in any of the homicide cases commit the murders of the women. It was actually Garrett Mason, the temp bartender you meet in the previous case, who reveals himself as the Black Dahlia killer.

Yeah I agree. And even worse is that none of these guys in homicide that you arrest were even guilty which is annoying as it becomes obvious pretty quickly making me feel like I was wasting time until you find the real killer. Homicide annoyed me because of this and because now stuff like the murder weapons and blood have no explanation.

Doesn't matter anyway, either one gets released after Garret is killed and proven to have killed them all.

Here's what happened: Daughter is at school dance. Deidre and Hugo argue over who should pick her up. Deidre eventually leaves to pick her up, whilst Hugo goes out on a drive (weird, considering he wanted to 'put his feet up') to calm down. Deidre arrives at school, and then she is murdered by Eli, who steals her jewelery, Eli revealed that he works for Hennessy Marine, and wears green overalls (This is the true meaning of HM, instead of Hugo Moller)....

Does anyone else think the time jumps at each location seem a bit long this mission? It took 4 hours from the house to the school, and 2 from the morgue to the station. I realize time is sped up a bit but that seems a bit much.

How did u put the Eli Rooney behide bars I left the tercastion then pressed X on him and somehow it but Miller behide instead?

My game was bugged or something and I couldn't actually accuse Eli. At the very end, when I got to walk between the two interview rooms and choose which to accuse, I couldn't actually sit down with Eli to accuse him.

I don't known what the hell I did wrong in this case? I accuse the wrong one? Because I really hit nearly all the answer right, hell, I did go to the fucking Morgue to collaboration, and never the less, Donnelly give me a reprimand, and I only get two stars with this case.
