Traffic was honestly the best part of the game for me. Good boss, good partner, great cases. These were just crimes, not a whole web of conspiracy and linked cases.

I was legitimately saddened when I got promoted to homicide and had to get a new partner, Bekowsky was such a great partner and they had a great bond by the end, you could tell. I wonder if Cole ever looked back at these simpler times in Traffic with nostalgia.

@@Lekirius I could imagine the camera panning to the back of the church during Roy’s speech, and you would see a person in the shadows holding a newspaper to hide his face (like incognito mode in the game), then, when no one’s looking, he quietly slips away. Fade to credits. That would’ve been really cool.

This by far was the best way to ease you into a new type of game it wasn't that difficult and introduced alot of interesting characters right off the bat like stefan and roy and was a very interesting case and start to a game that made you want more so they really did a bang up job

👌 If only the VR version did all the cases...

This is the best case in the game by far. No unecessary action, enough clues for you to piece it together from the get-go while the game only confirms information throughout the ride, great storytelling on Black's house, and the way you find Black is different if you suceed/fail at interrogating Morgan.

The actor who played Margaret Black, Kate Connor, she deserves a medal. This scene actually broke me in my first playthrough, especially her reaction when we told her that there were signs of foul play. This case was an awesome case for the first case. Funny twist, honest witnesses, and Cole Phelps learned all the ropes fast.

Traffic was relaxing and great stage of learning the do's and don'ts of being a cop. Plus the Humble Boss, Supportive Partner.. a dream job ofcourse. The Only thing that comes next to it was Homicide. At times it became thrilling as if I am inside a David Fincher Movie solving crimes.

Phelps: Mrs Black, my partner and I are gonna funk in the bedroom Mrs Black: OH NOOOOOOOOOO

People got confused about the controls and you couldn't tell when a doubt would be you screaming at someone.

24:30 Morgan just outed himself. First he didn't know Morgan was missing, but when Phelps accused him he said he "wasn't at the railyard" despite Phelps never mentioning the railyard and Morgan saying he didn't know about Black until then.

@@calanon534 True, although there's actually a lot of L.A. locations that haven't changed much or at all. especially near old downtown. But you're right, Filming on location would mean lots of road closures and expensive permits. They would have to work very quickly to get scenes done.

...I just realized, six months+ from now, when Cole is investigating Matthew Ryan, do you think he remembered his name drom this case, or that he'd already had to redo one of his heater jobs?

Traffic is the best.

The guy who plays Dr. Fontaine plays Micah Bell in RDR2!!

This case was my first time playing the game with no hand holding. I got a 2* rating, getting all the Frank Morgan questions wrong, but I did fine with Margaret (which means I had to tail Frank Morgan) and I quickly learned from there to read the faces of the suspects, and then, in A Marriage Made in Heaven, I got a 5* rating. Quick improvement LOL.

How's the framerate? 60 on PS4 and XB? I remember the game would glitch out if the limiter was disabled. The MoCap was recorded at ~24,30 fps, so anything different turned the game into a mess.

B Faria the face capture technology they used was recorded in 30fps. If they run it at 60fps it messes with the facial animations.

La Noire is more interesting.

Ummm...what was the crime? Abandoned car? That’s just a Citation. Dead pig? Morgan might be guilty of animal cruelty...but it was his pig. Cheating on spouse? No crime there. The game says conspiracy and fraud; where exactly?

Well, while pseudocide is technically not a crime, it most probably involves committing other crimes on the way On top of my head, some authorities might consider pseudocide a tax evasion. Makes sense really. If you are dead, you're not paying taxes, but thing is you are alive. Also, to live properly you have to have certain documents. Like citizenship and passport and stuff. You can't really use your old passport if you are dead, right?

Fraud is a deceit for personal gain. The idiot was going to make a new life by deceiving people and then making a new identity in some way, he's not going to hide in a hole with his new love interest. Faking your own death is illegal because it is a fraud. It's also a fraudulent report regarding things like insurance, tax status, voting status, benefits, inheritance, etc. Today it is part of US Code Title 18. The report of death has information on things like the death certificate. Two men conspired to commit the fraud. That's where, exactly.

demongo2007 Actually, at the time, cheating on your spouse *WAS* a crime in the state of California. In fact, it's *STILL* a crime in 19 states (although it's almost never enforced anymore). Penalties range from a $10 fine (Maryland) to 4 years in prison (Michigan). And as Blutarsky pointed out, he was *conspiring* with a friend to help him commit *fraud* (faking your own death).

They were pretty much forced to make every character's hair style short and together due to the engine the game runs on. The realistic facial capture animations did not go well with long wavy hair and broke the game. They attempted it in development, but it didn't work too well.
