Esta rareza la vi a muy tierna edad y alucine con ella... incluso me asusto un poco. Increíble pensar que cuando uno es niño se toma tan en serio estos films, uno es tan ingenuo, tan inocente... pero justamente eso hace que aquellos tiempos sean tan especiales, y que se recuerden con tanto cariño y nostalgia.

This has to be one of my favorite cheesey sci Fi movies of all. The actors did a fantastic job making the corniest monster ever fit in the plot.

A great movie from simpler times,actually for the available technology the effects were amassing.You simply cant judge those movies by today's standards.

Ahí te das cuenta cuánto tiempo ha pasado.

A strong woman character was unusual in 1950s film. MS Corday’s character is a professional mathematician, brave, good with a rifle. Not many women in STEM fields then. She makes significant contributions to the project. She made it through the whole film without fainting or needing rescue.

Desde luego esta película es una delicia, una producción con efectos especiales muy artesanal y de ahí la gracia ,y creo que a todo el que la vio de pequeño nos ha transportado a nuestra niñez ,buen cine clásico de serie B.

la carcaña la vi cuando yo tenía 10 años y hoy tengo 49, nunca se me borro de mi cabeza , en mi niñes esa película fue comentada entre mis amigos ya que sólo se veia un sólo canal en Puerto Montt que está en el sur de Chile , bueno no es una gran película pero me llevo a recordar mi niñes

You have to admire Jeff Morrow. Not only is he a talented actor but he can pilot jet fighters as in this movie and helicopters (he pilots a helicoptor in the movie "Kronos"). Love these movies as much now as much as I did when they were new. Thanks for the excellent upload.

Lessee, I'm 65 years old, I remember seeing this movie in 1969, so I was 11 years old. Back then I thought how much the bird creature had the same hairdoo and about as much hair as my Third grade teacher Mrs. Kerlikowski! 😁

When I was a kid there was a late Friday night slot on British tv called 'Don't Watch Alone' - it featured a weekly horror film. I remember some truly scary films from it but what I remember from seeing this film is laughing till I wept. It remained everafter in my mind, tagged with the 're-name' we gave it at the time, "Attack of the Rubber Turkey". Great to see it after fifty years, and to find out it's actually called 'The Giant Claw' (but it will always be the 'Rubber Turkey' to me).

In America there was a TV network called TNT monster movie program called monster vision much like don't watch alone, I bet the same movies played by them both. Great Memories🎉but as for the bird I think its a vulture.

Un clasicazo del cine a la altura de los mitos creados por Ed Wood, hecho con recortes de películas del ejército y con un avechucho increíble. Golazo, muchas gracias por haberlo subido.

Gracias por subirla. Toda una época de historias contadas para disfrutar en familia. Por fin podré verla con mi hija adolescente quien también ya vio la versión original de La Guerra de los Mundos y le gustó también.

la guerra de los mundo de los años 50' me gusto mas, no tiene los efectos especiales de esta epoca, pero se esfuerza vaya que si lo hace, me encanto la pelicula. en esta pelicula es de cine b, osea mas barata que la guerra de los mundos, aun asi logra que este aplastado en la silla mirandola y cumple con lo prometido en el cartel, si fuera un joven de los años 50' creo que estaria en mi lista de peliculas favorita de aquella epoca, lo graciso de esta pelicula es el patron que hizo de la espiral, todo tiene sentido XD

una de mis favoritas de mi infancia, la vi en la televisión y nunca se me olvidó su nombre "Carcaña". Gracias por compartirla

The actors and crew didn't know what the bird would look like. To save money they went to Mexico and had a puppeteer make it. It was going to a bird done by Ray Harryhousen in stop motion.

@@gerardomiranda5002 =YO que adoro la ciencia ficcion NUNCA la habia vizto a mis 63 años y en 2019 en Pierdas Negras Coahuila regresaban 3luchadores 5estellas de un afuncion en dicha ciudad norteña a su hotel a NVO LAREDO tamps ´´ a 2 ,30de P,negras les sucedio un hecho ezpeluznante con un ´´hombre pajaro ´´ viajvan en una Suburban tds sobrios y recien cenados eran las 1150pm cuandi de pronto sienten un peso en el techo de la camijoneta pero la Suburban tenia quemacocos y uno de ellos se asoma riendose de lo que EL chofer les indica y de repente esntra de buevo lleno de TERROR de lo que miro parado aferrado a la camijoneta NO le creian pero al ver que se empezoa convulcionar se azoma uno de los luchadires maximos y mirta con horror que ESo emprendio el vuelo hacia adelante de la camioneta cuabdo el chofer mira con ssu propios ojos se descomponen todos pero ESO simplemente subio y se perdio en la noche estavan aun a 21kmts de P Negras segun contaron que ese estaba del tamaño del ancho de la carretera que ahi todavia tiene 4carriles ahi se acaba y se hace la clasica carretera se los 60s (solo 2 carriles ) llegarin aLAREDO Tmaps a las 1,40am muy impresionados y el que miro 1ero ESo en shock otro dia ya estaba mejor pero eso si tds consultaron en el hospital de LAREDO TAMPS ´´ julio 2019 suceso en norte mexicano ´´

Ajajja recorde ke la vi con mi abuelo cuando niño en la tv nacional de Chile. Debió ser 1978... Mi abuelo se reía mucho del pajarraco feo ajajajjaja Y de la propaganda Yanky de hombres libres... Todo un clasico.

No cabe duda que este filme obedecìa a los temores de la època,como era la "guerra frìa" y sus secuelas en poder suscitar,en la que tal amenaza ficticia estaba por destruir el mundo y aparece,como era habitual casi siempre,la soluciòn para contrarrestarla.De ahì que el gusto por tales filmes,a pesar de los efectos especiales un tanto rudimentarios,era el suspenso que si sabìan crear y atraer asì al espectador hasta el ùltimo momento.Gracias por hacernos llegar tal joya del cine clàsico y bendiciones desde Venezuela para todos.
