It doesn’t seem like people are blaming their actions on that. More so it seems an explanation as to why/how the mindset was achieved. It’s not like it’s a legal nor socially acceptable defense. Excuses differ from reasoning. If a cause can be figured out, it’ll lead to preventing the actions. ( Just as how crime rates in most developed or advanced countries have been decreasing quickly, despite having otherworldly record keeping, communication ability, societal views ( an example would be spousal abuse, a few decades ago the “it’s between them” mindset was acceptable compared to now) in the USA&UK) slavery in Syria, Iraq or Witchcraft dependent on human sacrifice, there’s been more attention, adaptations and awareness. But like in Ethiopia where even upper & middle class citizens have abandoned shelters to life in the bush, countless turning to Cannabalism and other horrors that were nearly non existent have been seeing incredible increases since the pandemic though things were kicking up prior.) I hear you though. But it just doesn’t seem like the the burden is lifted what so ever in any sort of way.

They do not get to choose how they react. They have no free will either. They only see an innocent girl in a bad situation. The felon had no free will either; in fact nobody has it. She felt inclined to lead people to their horrifying demise, as though there was no other choice. She *should* be sequestered from peaceful but vulnerable society *forever* even if there are permanent ways of humanely doing that (so that the cost of keeping her healthy, yet sequestered is not a burden on peaceful hard working society). A justice system *that works for peaceful people* might include two choices. One choice be to allow her to live, and also burden only those that will sign a contract that indicate they will support her living in sequestration, locked away; but provide her sustenance and pay her utilities (food, water, toiletries, her sewage, and cost of electricity to keep her alive and comfortable) and cost sharing for prison guards (wages and benefits) that make sure she cannot escape or harm others. This seems fair and just to me. Forcing the costs onto peaceful people, including families of victims, to keep her alive is not merciful, just or fair (especially to families of victims)

What she did was beyond anything justifiable, and to say she is a "good person & had a difficult life" is slap to the face to everyone who hasn't committed a murder while being in worse conditions. She didn't steal for water, rob for food, trespass for shelter. She knowingly got people killed for apparently either no reason or to impress even more murders? She can rot in prison for life.

I have been badly wronged by people I grew up with a few times. I tried to help one of my best friends and his wife when they lost their house. I took them In and they repaid me by starting to deal drugs in my house. I tried to get them to leave but ended up fleeing my own house so I wouldn’t get caught up in their treachery. I literally had to pay to take them to court and have them evicted. After all that and the damages to my house I lived, learned and moved on. I didn’t try and seek revenge or try to scheme something up I literally just turned the page. That was around ten years ago. I found out from other acquaintances of ours they both ended up with Covid, pneumonia and then succumbing to the illnesses. I didn’t feel happy about it but actually sad for them and their families. I came to the conclusion that I put myself in that situation so that part was my fault and they took advantage of my kindness and my being gullible. They on the other hand started living out of control and now it’s too late. It’s saddens me because they had 2 kids together that now have no parents. I turned to God for guidance and forgiveness. People who dance with evil are actually ruining their lives. Sometimes it’s it’s quick and sometimes it’s slow. But when a person goes down that path it’s 99.999% gonna end badly. I would say 100% but that’s not mine to say 100%. But it’s pretty dern close what do you say?

@@mawmawshomesteadpreparedness she was 17 at the time of the offense. Supreme court ruled that persons under 18 can not be put to death and can not receive life "without parole". She can and will likely get a life sentence but a life without parole is off the table. I believe there is no parole in the Federal system and a life sentence will mean the same thing as life without parole, but I'm not 100% on that. As far as foreign nationals go, the death penalty can be applied to them. I remember studying the death penalty in college and two Mexican Nationals were executed in Texas just days apart. Heriberto Chi and Jose Medellin. Both deserved very much to die. Especially Medellin who was a member of a gang, in Houston I believe, who along with 4 other members raped and strangled two young girls Elizabeth Pena and Jennifer Ertman I believe were their names. All of Medellin's codefendants were also executed except for the sole juvenile. Unless she was extradited from another country, death is on the table. Mexico and England will not extradite to the US unless the US takes death off of the table! If she was captured here and over the age of 18, death could have been on the table! Same happened here in Boston with the Boston bomber, who's name I won't say! He was from Dagestan I believe, but a Massachusetts (non-death penalty state) jury handed down a Federal death sentence! If captured in the US and of age and tried in Federal Court, the death penalty is always on the table!

Murderers and violent offenders should not be in prison and put to death immediately! No trial, judge or jury. This is why the prisons are overcrowded. People who commit minor crimes should be jailed to be rehabilitated and if they offend again, get rid of them. I guarantee the world would be a better place for all the good people!

It is more than likely they were all gang members of a competing gang. Of course the news and family covers for the dead kids and claims they were not in gangs- because of the trial they don't want to incriminate and the family might be active in the gang also. If the social media accounts of the boys are still up you can probably piece it together and the networks show snaps of the funeral to observe the colors. I don't know about you but I got better things to do than to taunt a violent gang on facebook and if I'm around someone like that I'm sticking to my group for protection and minding my own business.

She was the mastermind in this. She went through facebook to find pictures of these 5 teens making gang signs (to look cool). She showed it to fellow ms 13 gangsters (her bf was one). They decided to kill them. She and another girl tracked down address of these boys, followed them, befriended them and invited them to smoke pot. All this to gain favour and respect with gang and her bf. While they were in park, she called the gang. The gangsters came with weapons and told them to lay down. She acted like a victim and lay on the ground. The boys ran but only one escaped. Rest 4 were hacked with knifes, Machete and tree branches. Their bodies were piled on top of each other. After the murders, she discarded her bloody clothes, and destroyed her phone and sim card. Next day, she boasted having involvement in the murders. She said she did it to be happy. She told her bf: one escaped, 4 took the train and saw light. She was proud. The bf has accepted his crime for lesser sentencing. She is now denying and asked lawyers to use her real name instead of 'little devil' (her gang initiation name) so that jury won't feel negative about her. She was the instigator, coordinator, planner, accomplice, betrayer here. Without her no one even noticed the facebook pics the high schoolers posted. She created and planned all this to get a higher position in gang. She should be punished the most. And put end to gangs there legally forever.
