Bravo Yoland! Great find. Is this duet the entire TV production or is it an excerpt from the televised opera? As you know, if it's from the opera, I'd kill to see the whole thing. Anything else you may know about it I'd love to know as well. Mil gracias! Paz y salud.

It's not an excerpt from whole televised opera, this TV production has various performance clips of Placido and this Bohème duet is one of them. So far for Placido's La bohème, there´s no full video recording, only video clips. Maybe someone has it on VHS tape I am not so sure about it. I am waiting someone to share it too. Glad you love this clip.

@@YolandKwok Oh, I forgot to ask: you say "various performance clips of Placido"? Will you be uploading the rest soon? If so, bravo and big thanks, as usual. My missus gets a big kick out of it when I can surprise her with new footage of the Great Domingo in his tenor epoch (his baritone epoch is easier to find). Saludos.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with Domingo here. Admittedly, there does appear to have been more of him on this occasion than we became used to, but that is fine. He was a chubby guy. I am his harshest critic (of his later baritone career - it is a disgrace). There is nothing wrong with his singing here however.
