I had a S475 on my gas burner 6.0 and it got to the point where it was really annoying listening to the turbo while towing. But unloaded it was nice and quiet.

How’s the 10 speed holding up ?

Turbos are a lot cooler than I realized before watching this video. I looked into turbos on diesel trucks a little bit and I found that the turbos are spinning anywhere from 100,000rpm to 180,000+rpm… we should be hearing a jet engine sound… that’s practically all a jet engine is, a big turbo engine but with many more blades.

What is the turbine noise level at Highway and Interstate speeds? I would not want a high-pitched drone at highway speed.

I guess I’ve became an old man, with a hint of kid still mixed in. Love the sound and feel of my modded LBZ, but I also love the stock, quiet sound and power of my 21 L5P. Dont get me wrong, if I could afford to delete and tune the L5P I would, but at the same time, it’s kinda nice being the way it is. Don’t know for sure, but just the way it feels, I believe the stock 21 would walk the dog on my modded 06. Both are 4 door dually’s.

Are you saying 1/4 throttle per your foot feel or per electronic feedback. What your foot may perceive at 1/4 throttle may actually be a lot more.

My lmm with this turbo you can’t drive 10km per hour without that full whistle lol it’s a bit much really

Imo it doesn't sound super different like I thought it would. Sounds very close to my tuned 2020 with 5" exhaust

Yes, voids warranty and LEIA has the hookup you need for your 2024. Not sure why he’s telling you it’s not available.

Higher faint whistle sound from the engine, especially if you do some of the piping. No whistle sound from the exhaust

If you can't handle a turbo that loud then a big rig with straight pipes would be way out of the realm of tolerance. Look at those continental diesel motors that those army trucks have with those what they call whistler turbos as they are commonly referred too I've heard em all there ain't no turbo too loud unless you have sensitive hearing at which then would be understandable then. And only then if you get where I'm going.
