I am doing modelling of Fiber metal laminates by using a solid plate element The model having large cutout is showing more buckling load than smaller? I have modelled the plate using 11 ply layer in composite layup manager in ABAQUS including the Aluminum and glass fiber layers. Al/0/90/0/90/Al/90/0/90/0/Al is the layup. I am using Aluminum with combination of two failure model Johnson cook and ductile damage. And glass fiber with USDFLD code and engineering constant properties. Larger cutout is incorporated then in this layup and smaller ones too. But in the end in postbuckling and buckling behavior showing buckling loads are larger of large cutout than smaller cutout (CIRCULAR CUTOUT). Plates are square Now i am trying according to your models but my plates have aluminum inside and under buckling so kindly help sir
