I see now why the Pagoda Model is advanced. The Shoulder Pad is a lot of work requiring very methodical detailed work. The amount of detail and explanations as to the why and why not of doing a step is truly impressive.

I love this. Such clear communication, great visual and verbal explanations. Did you get a haircut between the "how high should a pad be" section and the "How to draft shoulder pad pattern" section?

Wow. I envy you so much for the knowledge that you have. When you put the shoulder pad on your shoulder, it fitted perfectly. It looked so beautiful.

"Holla at yo boiiii" 😂 caught me offguard. Thank you as always, Reza. I'm eager for the next drop later today. I have a question regarding figure asymmetries, specifically the shoulder drop. Asymmetry isn't really something we've touched on so far, which is understandable for this Baste-Fit module. But I was curious how that would factor in, if at all, when drafting and layering the pad. My understanding is a shoulder drop alters the pattern by dropping the armhole depth (and shoulder point...?). So, first, do we break symmetry and draft two different pad patterns for each shoulder? Secondly, should the final thickness of the dropped shoulder's pad be made larger to compensate, thereby restoring symmetry to the wearer's figure? Thank you in advance!

Holla! :) We have indeed not covered this yet. We will do this in the 4th Module. Shoulder drops are either addressed by lowering the armhole on the lower side along with the shoulder angle, or are filled up with a thicker pad. I prefer the latter if the drop isn't severe. Reza

In all honesty, I don't know when the first ever pagoda shoulder was made. It has been done in many countries throughout the 1920-1930's. I would say since America, France and Italy had strong advertising machines in that time, they at least made it more popular around the world. Reza

My shoulder pad pattern has 2 curved lines, a third curved only 2mm. The remaining 5 are all straight.

No worries at all. The pattern you have is slightly less exaggerated than what I drafted to ensure easy assembly further down the lessons :) Reza
