Why do some have harder massage in glutes

Great question. There could be a couple of reasons. One, the rollers on different chairs are often made of different material. Some are made with a very hard plastic, some with a softer, more rubbery material. Some have larger roller balls, while others have smaller ones...the smaller ones have a more focal contact point on the muscles providing a massage that feels harder. You can liken the contacts of the smaller vs. larger roller balls to knuckles vs. elbows, respectively. Another cause could be the default depth of the rollers into the muscles. Some are more shallow than others, while others dig deeper into the muscles by default. In that situation, you should be able to adjust the depth of the rollers to make them dig into the glutes less...but, when you do that, it lessens the intensity of the rollers throughout the rest of the spine. Hi Alan, the Luraco and Daiwa Hybrid Supreme have special track configurations? What are those called?

I call these new roller track configurations "split track". The Supreme Hybrid uses two separate tracks, one for the seat massage and one for the back massage (they call it Hybriflex), while Luraco uses a "hinged" track that literally employs a hinge on the track in the lower back area. What would be the best chair for tall at 6-4?

Good question. Many companies say their chairs will fit up to 6'4" tall. Though they may, in fact, fit a body that tall, very seldom will the rollers go all the way up the neck to give a full massage from top to bottom. I might also mention that some tall folks have longer torsos and some have shorter torsos. This may also affect how well a taller person can fit in a chair, despite the overall fit. A few chairs we recommend for your height are the Luraco i9 Max series, the Human Touch Super Novo, Daiwa Supreme Hybrid (although the legs may not extend out far enough for you), Infinity Smart Chair x3, OHCO M.8 series, Positive Posture Brio series, OHCO R.6, Osaki Maestro Pro, Daiwa Pegasus 2, Kyota Yosei, Tru Eclipse, and X-Chair x77.
