This is one of those videos you see, and you think “I should really be paying for information like this” lol

I wrecked my shoulders at work. Ever since a single KZread video that fixed them after 2 weeks of a simple movement, I had the same realization.

4 minutes in and this is better than any L-sit tutorial I've ever seen. This is brilliant. Subscribed instantly.
Hi Dave, I started gymnastics aged 38! Your videos are my favourite as you explain everything so well. Thanks!

Time to lean back! Most detailed L-Sit video I ever saw!
THAT'S A PHENOMENAL VID. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Thanks Dave, fantastic instruction! You’re right, I thought I was vertical on the paralettes and my wife told me I was still leaning forward. L-Sits...much tougher than they look!
Excellent video! I love the explanation of the specific details vs. "just hold the position" type of training. I'll be using this to facilitate my progression. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge Dave!!! You are awesome!!!🙏❤
Absolutely brilliant, the rower technique is genius.
Very good video. So many KZreadrs with wrong shoulder position showing L sits.

Its a common struggling point for folks
Such a wonderful video, Dave. I just bought a pair of parallettes a few months back. However, only an Olympian can teach us about their benefits, in-depth. Since I am a newly certified personal trainer, this quite inspiring towards understanding different methods of development.
One of the best L sit videos around
Excellent instructional video Dave. Thanks!
This guy explained this very well and it was concise. Because other videos I watched wasn’t clear enough.
Excellent !!!! Thanks a lot !
this is gold!
5k views, less than 300 likes? I think those numbers are about to change. Quality info, perfectly delivered, thanks.

People are more interested in bullshit talkers who talk shit and no interest in something good to learn. A trash talker will have millions of subscribers but a motivational speaker will have way less. It's the way of the world, a sad reality
This is an outstanding video! Like others who commented below, I feel like I need to mail a check to Mr. Durante. I'm 61 and have been working on getting stronger through calisthenics as opposed to throwing weights around. I appreciate what you've posted here! Rick

Train with the hand placement how you intend to perform the skill. Wow, so simple I could never figure that out 😂 I’d always get confused as to how it should be, thank you for clarifying!

Where can I get those type of gym mats from
My L-sit is weak in hold time and a full 90 degree. Does any one know which muscle I am weak in for this or need to strengthen to get a straighter and longer static hold? My max is 7-8 sec on P-bars and ground is 5 seconds. on the ground I have a more 90 degree. P-bars is weaker for me.
which parallettes are the best?
wouldnt you prefer to relie on your muscle structure than ur locked out joint???
is it ok to do L sits almost every day?

Brute strength
I cant believe somebody dislike this... whats wrong with this people...
This seems to be engaging the lats alot.
I have a question. Technically in terms of progression, which on the list should go on first, second and last? Planche, handstand, L-sit? Thank you in advance.
@rinasunar7759

For me it has been L sit, handstand and planche.
@man94xxBIG

I would recommend L-Sit, Pseudo-planche push-ups, Hand-Stand, and then the Planche.
Hi guys, I've been trying to learn this skill for awhile, when I try to do anything with both legs off the ground I feel the tricep activation but it feels like all the weight is going onto them, and none onto my core; is this because I need to do more compression work? My triceps feel like they're going to explode after 2-3 seconds :(
@PowerMonkeyFitness
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the note. I would play around with different variations. It's great to know where optimal is in terms of triceps activation and correct positioning, but if you are looking to target a specific area, like the core, try some other methods of the l-sit. First, I would try hanging l-sit variations which will allow you to target the compression and remove the triceps activation. This could help focus the area of most need. Additionally, I would try "press hip raise" variations, which will switch the stress from the triceps/rear delt to the ant delt and allow for more compression focus. Lastly, if the triceps are fatiguing that quickly it is possible you can be doing more targeted exercises to get them stronger for this movement. Something like the extended crab rock on the rower would be a great exercise to incorporate as an accessory piece. You can find all of these exercises in our movement library. Hope that helps!
