A simply beautiful piece, hope you enjoy this video.
Lágrima means Teardrop in Spanish and makes emotive use of parallel thirds and tenths. This romantic prelude is one of the most popular works by Francisco Tárrega and was written while he was homesick in London. This recording was done last year while I was missing Australia, so pretty fitting!

👏👏 Tarrega is applauding from beyond. Finally, his Lagrima gets a wonderfully expressive interpretation. So many other artists just go through the motions and stick to the script, but Stephanie has taken a simple piece to the next level.
The simplest pieces are most often the most difficult to play - beautiful rendition!

Stephanie never ceases to amaze, each performance flawlessly breathtaking, graceful and gracious, humble, yet magnanimous. She has attained a level of virtuosity most of us could only aspire.
I think the most important things in a piece of art are the experience and the ideas it provides. And 'Lagrima' provides a beautiful and lyirical melancholy.

Stephanie, you played that piece perfectly.......PERFECTLY. It's funny, I have been playing this song for decades and it's still not as good as you and it's a fairly simple piece. Most people just don't play it right, with this type of feeling. I have done a little agent with various guitarists, like Stephen Bennett, Muriel Anderson, Richard Smith, and others, so I hear beautiful guitar all of the time, or at least I used to. It's good to see people play so well, especially young people. Thanks for the beautiful rendition.
