I ordered the balanced Vader yesterday along with the HBB PR2 which was on sale for 26 dollars . I think we're living in the golden age of IEM's lol .

Lan is a nice set. Vader Balanced might be closer in treble but it also as the Trio-like bass.

Nice review Paul. I'm afraid these would be a little much for my ears. The balanced version looks better and then I feel like I'm buying another Trio. Can't wait till you get your hands on Divinci!

yes, right now, everyone is waiting to see if there is an improvement over Trio. I also feel if there was, KZ would have put it in the marketing

I was looking at this set the other day and when I compared the Vader balanced version graph vs the Trio graph its literally the exact same thing (from the KZ site).

What software are you using for EQ'ing the IEMS? I'm thinking about buying one since It has a similar tuning to my Quietsea.

I use Foobar2000 on my PC so I can listen, type, and EQ almost at the same time. Peace is probably the most popular EQ on the PC. sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/

If you are going to EQ, this is a decent choice especially if it goes on sale. EQ'ing 500LM and this Vader is similar, lower treble, re-work the bass shelf to match. 500LM gives you more physical tuning options if you have the 500 DIY mod kit.

I gotboth kz castor (bass n harman version) n they r completely different from each other in terms of tuning n i like both alottt. Do u feel i sud go with it considering again vader hv both balanced n high resolution which look similar sound profile .

Maybe, I am not sure Vaders are radically different than what you have. I would enjoy the Castors for a while, let KZ cook up something different.

Lan. Lan is a really nice set, one of the better Moondrop sets at an affordable price.

This is more like a flavor of Trio that will appeal to some people. Everyone else, there is Balance or stick with Trio

KZ Balance version seems more promising. But I agree, we are looking for improvements from Trio.

Those setup iems with 2 dynamics hmm i don't know i dont like the sound of Castror bass edition and harman edition . ,, maybe its time to walk in another path with other companies for sound because kz make each time the same sound

KZ CCA shells are getting worse and worse as of recently. Ugly af imo. No creativity and just printing some casual font on their plate is so boring. Doesnt inspire me to buy any of their sets. But i guess it could look like rocks on the floor as long as it sounds good...

@@PaulWasabii I think they've found a way to apply random dents on their plates, which could look minimalist but after many times starts to look boring by itself, and then after D-Fi start applying the iem names on it. The design language is the same and starts to look like siblings than a new character from their budget to their new Hydro. You are definitely right, has to be for convenience but its a shame they look horrible because its repetitive, imo

I have many kz iems ... Kz 10proX kz castor bass amd castor harman ,kz esx .kz dqs ,,,kz dq6 kz dq6s hbb ,,, kz edx pro edx ultra edx pro x ,,,, kz trio , kz symphony, kz. Zvx .kz krila.kz zsn pro x,, kz zex pro kz d-fi I dont found yet what i want all thkse are good but... something always is missing in the sound

Try learning to EQ. This will help you find what you are looking for or what you prefer rather than buying more sets.

For offerings from KZ/CCA alone i have(or have experience with).. - EDX, EDX Pro(v1 + v2), EDX Ultra - ZSN Pro, ZSN Pro X, ZSN Pro 2 - ZS10 Pro X - ZEX - ZVX - D-Fi - Castor (Harman), Castor (Bass) - Rhapsody .. my personal favorite from the list is ZVX. .. then EDX Pro (v2 - Super Linear Driver).. i DO NOT like ZEX, D-Fi. Other IEM that i CLEARLY prefer over ZVX is Simgot EW200.
