720p? What are we using, early 2000 video gear!

Sorry about the 720p recording quality. I use a OnePlus 9 Pro as my camera. I must've reset the camera settings while trying to get the depth of field issues resolved and I forgot to put it back to 1080p. Sorry for being so bad at video recording.

Thanks for keeping it real as usual, Dave! Kudos for mentioning the Galileo, it is one of my current fav more relaxed IEM's that I own. When I want to chill from the sparkle of my S12, I switch it up to Timmy's collab. Btw...speaking of which...and pardon me for not being around long enough in this space to know but if you haven't yet, have you thought of doing a collab with one of your fav IEM manufacturers?

Today i have ordered a pair an offer for Mee Audio pinnacle P1 to work with my LG 30 as i use as DAP so having an impendence of 50 ohms is just about right for the quad dac to engage naturally without tricking it .For 70 quid i have got a new open box for the mee P1 ,full optional all in ze box ,but a friend say to buy the Krila and 70 quid for the mee Audio was as good as he mention the fantastic Krilla .I hope i made the right choice.keep up the good job ,and thanks again for your spontaneous plain reviews. Honesty is a trait lacking in China work culture in general....... And I'm ashamed to say that as a Chinese myself.

Kz krila is not bad but there are better options on the market under 100 usd: simgot iem ew200, simgot ea500 or simgot Em6l for warmer and more relaxed presentation. Having said that, I don't agree about Galileo LETSHUOER, you may like it or not, but it lacks extension in the treble, it's not a monster of technicalities. In all honesty as much as I can't stand the ridiculous marketing of kz, I think krila is a bit better technically and has better treble extension, as well as tighter and punchier bass. Thanks anyway for your honest review.

Imo ,with kz audio, kz gives ya a damn good iem, for under 30 dollars.....imo , Kz brings in a low price, imo, is why audio brands have lowered there prices..Iems with switches, have bean ,the latest trend for iems...Ive seen iem reviews ,with iems, 2wice to 3xz the price of the krilla, with the switches reviwers said ,made no audible difference, yet they didnt really rip the audio brand ,because they had made good iems , as kz/ cca/ qkz ,have done...KZ ,is giving audio enthusiasts, the latest trend for iems, and, its not going to break the bank, anddd!! Its a 19 dollar iem, with ,tuning switches, that make an audible difference....thanx again for your review!!

T2 is better with tone and timbre, has better resolution and a more accurate stage. The Krila has more bass and similar detail retrieval. The Tangzu Wan'er would be a good substitute for the T2.

KZ is a brand for audiophiles on tight budgets who want to try something decent and better sounding than your average Walmart 20 bucks IEMS, nothing more. If they were more honest in their marketing they'd be much more respected. It's incredible they said this model would crush anything under 1000 dollars....

Imo their competition is way better, simgot, tang'zu, kiwi ears, moondrop, etc. Kz is just overrated.

Love your channel and I find myself coming back for final considerations! Good format and no bullshit! I only own one ChiFi IEM and that is the Tanchjm one $20 which is great and even bought another as backup. Everything else is non-Chinese. I'm not into switching cheap stuff around and gaining a large collection. Quite the contrary. Having an IEM fail while on a three backpacking trip through Europe just won't cut it and I don't care if they'll replace it three times. That routine is not for me. Keep up the great work! Cheers!

Hi Dave (nice name😁), this is of subject…. I have the tangzu wan’er and i want a bit of an uprade in soundquality, i definately not want a super neutral sound , just a slight 1 or 2 db increase on the sub or mid bass, contenders are Simgot ew200, truthear hexa, kz pr2 pro or Moondrop aria snow edition.

Sorry I've only heard the Hexa of all those you mentioned. I don't know if the Hexa would be what you're seeking as it leans neutral and analytical. The Kotori Dauntless is an option that would be more towards what you're seeking.

Watch out for the PR2 Pro. HBB himself called out KZ for changing or removing the filters that ended up changing the tuning of the iem. And it appears the removal of the filters was intentional.

If you're looking into a bit more sub-bass, try looking into the Truthear x Crinacle Zero(Blue Edition) or if you are familiar with the sound signature of the 80's-90's hi-fi stereo box speakers and bass heavy car audio systems(of that same era), you might be interested in the 7Hz Legato(*what's unique about this iem is that it was not meant to sound like a Harman-tuned iem; nor an iem for that matter). And yes, i do own the Legato, and if you grew up in that era(80's - 90's), the Legato will definitely give you that audio nostalgia. It sure took me back 😁👌

It sounds like KZ thinks the Krila is the Chuck Norris of iems. 🤭 Thank you for another great review! 👍

Hey Dave, just letting you know I appreciate your review but I sensed this was hard to do because of your thoughts about KZ. While their reputation had been challenged, I just find this company disingenuous. Their website list over 70 iems, wired and wireless, and they almost all claim to have some "new technology" behind what they create but the fact remains that KZ has a sound that really never changes despite all the different configuration and tunings. To me, it's like having one song with 70 verses. The first 3 or 4 of them are nice to hear but when you add the 5th verse, or the 12th verse, or the 39th verse.....on and on, it just gets tiring. There's nothing really new. And they try to sway their fan base that the latest IEMs are just going to be outstanding. Nope, same old. And I won't get into their sister company CCA, which has over 20 IEMs (I think) in their portfolio. Granted, I have my fair share of KZ IEMS from the past (ZS10 Pro, ZAX) which are really good but I've also returned many newer ones because....it's more of the same to a large degree. If KZ has proven anything over the years, they are the king of audio mediocrity. I honestly don't hate KZ. It's just that their competition is so much better.

I totally appreciate your thoughts on the KZ brand, but for me, and I think for a lot of people, they were our introduction to the IEM world. I started with the ZSN pro's and have never looked back. Admittedly, with my 62 year old ears, I'm probably not audiophile quality, and also , I've stuck to the budget end of the hobby, but I do think KZ is at least trying to move a little closer to a smooth and slightly less v shaped sound in some recent releases. I got the Ling Longs and the ZVX's and both have a little more balanced tuning. But I also enjoy the Kiwi Ears Dolces and Waners as well amongst ( too many) others! But there's no question their hyperbole is in a league of it's own. And that's very off-putting for sure. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate them 🙂

When their marketing said “best up to $1000”, I knew it was gonna be bad lol. Then I saw the switches, which barely work well on the top tier IEMs. Sounds like it’s better than I expected, but still, just looks like KZ promoting gimmick over quality again.

Was this video made after or before the DMS? The Exposé of KZ and the KZ rep who attacked another brand just prove a point that their set is better, makes me cringe and just say no to KZ despite their sister company/brands sets and some of their sets attract me. I'm just glad you're still one of the two or three reviewers who I go to for an unbiased review and a deeper look into how a set performs.

All my Sennheiser behind me have stock pads. 660s, 8xx and 600.

Sad that KZ basically forced you to spend 2 and 1/2 minutes on them as a shady company. I am betting that the Wan'er is not alone in the list of $20 sets kill the Krilla.

Gramps off the meds again. Krila is much more neutral than winner and follows the IEF Neutral instead of the Harman target.

Which one is best @kz castor or @kz krila ?
