I do a little assist help with one after school club here in Japan and I can’t believe it either, the school class time finishes and activities take place all through out the school. I leave there before cleaning starts and drive home in the dark. The place is alive and most importantly offers the students an option to participate or a place to be. Once the ALT foreign teachers return after the Flu close downs I am no longer required, unfortunately. Opened my eyes, when I went to school it was a ghost town 20 minutes after bell rang.

@@ClaudiaYunxia Well, I know it sounds stereotyping, but Asian parents still have the mindset of teaching children to be good at their subjects and activities. Basically, education is TOP priority. However, it's not as strict as in the olden days where children are forced to do whatever their parents asked to do. Even til this day there r still parents out there doing so. I'm Asian and I have Asian friends that have to be excel in educations. I do ask them if they r stress from the standard they need to achieve, but most of the like "nahhh." and said since in return they get to go out with friends free from the "tiger parents". Whereas for me I'm glad that my parents aren't as strict as theirs. xD

surprise there hasn't been an anime for this yet. can you imagine, a traumatize prodigy who never wants to play the sax or something finds out about marching band and is amaze at how awesome it is and want to come back to it. He hasnt touch it in 5 years but being the natural born talent he is, it just comes right back to him. he then tries to join but has to go through a rigorous try out, and worst of all the captain is his rival from back then.

Your premise isn’t that far off from Hibike!Euphonium actually! Oumae kumiko wanted to have a fresh start for her high school years after a band tournament in middle school, where she said something kinda mean to a fellow clubmate and now wants to forget all about it. But through many circumstances she somehow got into the band again and played the exact same instrument she played the year before. And now she, the girl she said something mean to, and a bunch of friends old and new plays their way into nationals when their newest teacher tries to bring Kitauji’s (admittedly awful) band to play together for a national tournament. It’s like my 2nd most fav anime of all time. You should totally watch it!!!

They are dangerous. I stumbled upon them a few days ago, and have been watching them for hours upon hours when I should have been doing other things. How is it even possible to dance and hit the glockenspiel keys, or wave your flute and still keep on playing? Not only must they practice some 25 hours a day, but ultimately as well prepare for university... Out of this world.

I was part of a marching band in high school and base on my experience, all i can say is that, these people are truly amazing! The breath control on particular is exceptional. I once tried playing a flute but I can't seem to do it so instead the teacher assigned me to play the lyre instead. From my experience, just by walking while playing those instruments is already a challenge. But the fact that these talented people dance while performing is beyond exceptional ♥️ Good job! ✨
