hello, i really appreciate this channel showing the stuff that has been forgotton about kyokushin, do you think that maybe you could do more videos on the grappling side of kyokushin, is there any clinching, also submissions as its really lacking any info on this online, also would you take a look at the traditional applications of kata from okinawa and see what technoques from here are also present in the kyokushin forms, karate breakdown channel goes into this and would be intereting to what of his stuff is also in kyokushin

we have fists to the head also elbows but they are not allowed in the traditional modality, since to be champion you have to fight several times in a single day the carnage would be brutal.

Kyokushin Karate definitely does have punches to head. Kicks to the head only were made for tournaments ONLY. This art was originally created for the streets and kicks to the head would rarely happen unless the guy was already down or half way down to the ground.

Non-tournement Kyokushin Karate: if you want to get better with head punches you have to spar with good partners who you can both control yourself better with so you don't knock each other out every time or cut each other up too much. But you need get cut a few times and spar often to get better. You don't go in full swing every time when training with your friends. You eventually work your up to that kind of intensity.

That's the result of all that nonsense about karate having very powerful punches, because they manage to break ice. The punching technique is weak, boxing is on another level, its logical.

The problem with your bigoted viewpoint is there are analysis videos from MMA channels that show there are trained fighters who got beat up by Karate-based fighters who make effective use of Karate's punching methods. Boxing is not the only logical one. I'm refering to these video titles that you can find on KZread for goid examples: 1. "Karate For Fighting And MMA (Lyoto Machida's Techniques) from DynastyMMA 2. "HOW TO Karate Blitz For MMA!" from Stephen Wonderboy Thompson 3. "Karate Blitz For MMA And Kickboxing" from Rising Dragon Mixed Martial Arts & Fitness 4. "3 UFC Fighters That Use Karate Footwork And Techniques" 5. "Chinzo Machida First MMA Fight" If you keep insisting that Karate's punching techniques despite the video evidences, you are a liar.
