I am adopted and I am so glad that Kim met with the birthmother one on one. In an ideal world this whole thing i.e. whether or not the adoption should b open or not, should have been discussed long ago.It is critical to find out the birthmother's motives and I'm sure that Kym and the village will make the best decision for Joshua!

Hey Ellen! I watch a lot of your videos on KZread but not on my tv because my family never has time to. I just wanted to share my story with you! Well it all started 4 years ago when I was 7 years old when I had just found out that my mom and dad were getting in a divorce. It was hard on all of us. Ecspacially for my sister and I. But me and her stick together no matter what:) And then my mom moved to a new town and eventually my mom found this really nice person named Jim. Jim changed my life. He taught me how to be strong and his daughter Bella well I called her my sister. Everything was going great and then we all found out that they were getting married! We all were super happy. Until they started fighting...A LOT! There was times when Jim said he would leave but just as he told me I stayed strong.but one day he did move out and so did my mom. We moved to where most of my moms side of the family lives in Medford New Jersey. It's a great place here but my mom can't afford a house anymore so we live in a apartment. It's not the best but its home for now. My sister and mom are super strong about everything and I love that about them. Sometimes my brother has the ups and downs and I then teach my brother what my sister and my mom taught me. My mom barley has any more money to get food and my mom is depressed I want her to be happy again and if you can help deffinentally respond back to my sisters twitter which is Tayloras1 Your fan, Abigail

My sister and her husband, adoped 4 kids. It took them less than 10 minutes to decide and say yes. They are all adults now.

Hey Ellen, My name is Lucas Sharpe I am a 15 year old Freshman at Hillsboro High school. I live in Nashville, Tennesse in a family of 5. My mom is involved in the big brothers big sisters program and has been helping out her "little brother" Q and his great grandmother Emmie since 2007. Emmie is a single great grandmother who has been trying to support her great grandson Q his whole life. Emmie works at the Mission of Hope house, a housing facility provided by the mission of hope where she cares for grown men with mental disabilities. Basically, she cooks, cleans, buys them things, and provides for them, Q, and herself the best she can for about 500 dollars a month. Her day starts early in the morning when she cooks all the men and Q breakfast, then ends after she has cooked dinner for everyone and cleaned up for days which are often 18 hours. Before my parents bought her a car (it might be old, but it works) she had to rely on friends for transportation or walk to get any of her groceries. Emmie and Q were told that the Mission of Hope house is closing which means they will loose their house. That really started worrying them since they don't want to be homeless and can't afford to find a good place to live. My Mom Becky and Dad Michael have been trying to help them find a place to live, so that she can help her great-grandson Q go to college and get his voice noticed. He is 1 month older than I am and is very gifted singer (i have attached a link to one of his original songs at the bottom of this). I am writing to you help out a family in need. It would mean a lot not just to me but to Emmie and Q if they got on your show so you could help them. Emmie has been a kind loving person and has cared for people her whole life, she deserves all the help she can get. They don't know im writing this ahaha. If you watched Ice Cube Next Friday, she played Cube Uncles' wife (his aunt) Suga lol... I am laughing because all of the scenes she's in cracks me up. Also lend her voice on a couple of episodes of The Boodocks. Plus many other films and TV shows.
