The best built military vehicle in the world , built in Australia worth every dollar , Australia is big on 4wd ,s plenty of experience to produce these amazing trucks.if they build a civilian version i want one or two.

yep im all for this, I want a solid offroader and this thing is A+

An impressive vehicle that can not only support the troop carrying hawkei but also the Bushmaster vehicles. I would like to see a development for the 'ute' version to carry specialised 'packs/ pods' for specialised roles such as radio signal chasing, forward observation posts and light mechanical repair to support troop and vehicle movements to really enhance the capability and dependancy of troops deployed in the field.

add a specialist pod to the back and it'd make a great EoD vehicle..

I believe it's for the SAS and recon groups, The bushmasters are too larger or can't go everywhere or quick enough to get to areas, the hawkeis are helo transportable. As with the busmaster these are fully IED blast proof as well. The ute does look good as well but the troop version isn't too bad either, on sale right now in the euro countries but none built and used as yet from what I can tell.

zagan1 it's for the whole Australian army, replacing the land rovers I think

the ute version with a style side tub, cant beat an aussie armoured ute haha. I look forward to using these when they start rolling out, but I suppose RAEME wont see these for a while.

@MrFattyfatfatboy Nah mate, it's not being bought specifically for the Ghan. Pretty sure LAND 121 and 125 have been in the works for a while, and they're definitely geared toward future conflicts. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the decision was influenced by pressure from some of our allies: the Yanks have had armoured vehicles at the squad level since Desert Storm. The Bushmaster is world-class, but with 1,300 light, fast MRAP vehicles we could do jobs that the Land Rovers just can't.

@dmk19731 would be good for adding the anti air missile pod on there... man that would look sexy :D

I wonder if a Civilian version will come out.

Trust Australia to make a ute version.

Love the Hawkei, but why Hawkei ? And why a viper as insignia ? (A bit stupid if you ask me) Lots of horrible noices from this vehicle... Sounds rusty.
