Impossible Princess, underrated masterpiece. Kylie apparently got depressed at the lack of recognition it got at the time. Rest easy that it's regularly listed as one of her best albums and is rightly loved till this day. You should be very very proud of it Kylie.

It was unfortunately bad timing when it got released due to the death of princess Diana and the the release date kept getting pulled back i honestly think the album would be huge if it was released now it was also a big change in musical style for her and not all of her fans took to it which was a shame.

It was a pity that the album had such little recognition internationally although the singles charted well in some territories, like this one, that peaked at number 13 in my country (Spain). As far as I know "Breathe" , "Did It Again" and "Some Kind Of Bliss" had some success in some Southern and Eastern European countries such as Italy, Greece, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia and also in Israel. Anyway this album was terribly ignored worldwide considering how good it is.

It's her best album in my opinion and she's never been more experimenting then with this one, it was so different from her previous albums and still this very day a unique one in her discography.It's really a shame public slept on it but she should be really proud of the album regardless of the lack of success back in the day. I think Breathe is one of the best Kylie song as well 🤩

I'm proud to say I was one of the people who recognised this album as the artistry that it was at the time it came out. I told everyone about it, no one would listen. I was even mocked for liking Kylie (I'm a song writer), and I was like, no way, this is good stuff, she's legit. haha. Now who's laughing.

And what a payoff for all of us! I love these videos an unbelievable quarter century later!!!

One of the most successful experimental albums in history. At the same time, it is like the establishing point of her future signature pop sound. The sound that makes you go: "This is the iconic Kylie we still love listening to today." Up there with my favourite Kylie albums like Rhythm of Love, Fever, Light Years and the self titled one, and I think one of hers too?! The sound is timeless: could have been released today. Nobody was "trying too hard" making something "current", which resulted in sounding current even now!! Creative marriage between pop and rock elements. Also check out Did It Again and Some Kind of Bliss and all the other tracks.

The album was underrated at that time. Throughout the years and Kylie's waves of successfull releases, it was finally rediscovered and got its deserved spot. It was so that way that it got a special edition reprint a few yrs ago, on its 25th anniversary, if I'm not wrong. The album wasn't a success at that time mainly because people wasn't prepared for an experimental electronic sound it has. The music industry was also lacking of an identidy, as usually happens at the end of every decade. Interesting though that Ray Of Light was released few months later, and kind of paved a new path for dance/electronic pop music, but it's a shame that Impossible Princess wasn't recognized as an important shift of sound of that time as well. But fortunately, as I said, following years came to do justice to its preciosity.

Got to agree with everyone else's here. The 94/97 albums of kylie is the best. Indie pop/trip hop with alternative rock elements. Truly underrated. She should had made more albums like these in the 90s when the sound was so in back then

Idk but this song and video is a core memory of mine. One of the few songs that i remember watching as it premiered in MTV Fresh. It had lukewarm success in MTV Asia Hitlist iirc but i vividly remember it to this date nevertheless.

This song is so relaxing Kylie is such an underrated artist I can’t wait for her new album in November 6th the same day little mix confetti drops.

Back when the eyes of Kylie were the most beautiful thing of the universe.

One of my favorites. When I play it on my hi-fi (actual full-range loudspeakers), people are so shocked that its Kylie. (and the date of release) I tell them I've loved this ever since I first saw it on this TV program called 'MTV', which used to play music. What a disgrace MTV is now. Meanwhile, I'd crawl across hot desert sand just to w**** over her shadow. We love you Kylie, and wish you only the best life has to offer.

For whatever reason this song was even in one of my sleeptime dreams by around the 2007/2008 timeframe. Regardless of this song’s meaning, Breathe by Kylie Minogue is both abstract and creative at the same time.

This album was released in the UK just as Princess Diana died. They changed the name of the album here out of respect and the nation/world was in mourning. Nobody bought music which affected sales! Such a good album ❤
